Hi, my name is Cindy and I am new to this group.  I had the lap-band procedure done on May 3rd. I am looking forward to losing the weight and becoming a healthier person.  I hope to find support to stay on track and will offer any support and suggesions that I may have to others.

Hi Cindy, welcome to our family.  Welcome to the losing side of surgery, very recent too.  I hope that your recovery was smooth.  I had RNY 8 months ago and am so glad I made the decision for improved health.

I am married, 48 years old and we share our home with 2 small dogs that think they are BIG dogs, lol.  Hope to read many more posts as we get to know each other better.  Monday eve chat is a good place to get acquainted with members too, reminders with a short cut to the chat area are sent out on mondays.  Hugs

Welcome to our group and to the losers bench! Great to have you here! Ask any questions at all. Let us help you through this journey and I look forward to walking beside you in it.
I had my RNY July 21st 2008. I am down 116 lbs, at a normal BMI...YEAY have gone from a tight 24 to a comfy 8. I feel so much better than before the weight reduction. You will too. Hang in there and stick with the program for a life time of awesome success!

Patrece,
That is great!  This is one time you want to be in the losers circle, lol.  Sadly my weight loss will take several years, but I am already excited for what I have lost.  My clothes fitting loser is just wonderful.  I look foward to learning a lot from all of you and having your support.

Hi Cindy. It may take a bit longer for you, but in the end, you will get there, and will have your tool to help you maintain a life time of success. I know many lap banders that have lost almost as quickly as RNY patients, but that is not the typical. You have the power to reach all of your goals! stay dedicated to your purpose and you will go far!
