Morning everyone.  I have been gone on vacation, checking posts a few times and simply enjoying time without structure.  I am refreshed and reach to face the day to day challenges again.  A break makes all the difference.

I spent a week with Patrece and her family, the time flew by.  Candace stopped by a few times, she is near the end of her pregnancy.  I made a baby quilt for Candace's baby, let me see if I can post a pic of it.  I am pretty proud of the way it turned out.

Patrece and I chattered each other ears off, well, sort of, I can still see my ears and they are holding my glasses on just fine.  We played with her embroidery machine, and other craft items.  We embroidered on tiolet paper of all things, Dennis thought the roll I gave him with a sketch of the space shuttle was great.  Took him a moment to get that it was stitches, then he does not sew.  Testosterone thing for him.  I love to spend time crafting and creating quilts.  Keeps my hands out of trouble when I want to feed my face.  I do not want food residue on my hands while I sew.

Dennis and I took the dogs for a nice long walk this morning, the weather was ideal, low 70's with a light breeze and scattered thin clouds.  Watched an eagle soar for a few moments.  The dogs flirted with everyone they could.  We stopped by the bank to do banking and they got dog treats from the teller, even danced for the treats.  They are such clowns and flirts.  I took the dogs to the vet for rabies shots yesterday and Oscar rolled over for tummy scratches from all of the vet techs, and most of the crowd in the waiting area too.

If you get to the CO area, check out Royal Gourge, we took the train ride and my favorite part of the ride was standing in the open car on the return trip and watching the rocks, skyline and the tops of the mountains as the moon was rising.  I tried to catch some photos or the moon in the early night, got what looks like water spots on a dark background.  but the mental images are for my lifetime.

Enough of my vacation for now.  I wish everyone a great rest of the week.  Patrece, Thank You for your hospitality.  Your turn to head my way next.  Hugs to everyone, be kind to yourself.
