WOW.. 2 weeks left till the big day, I am getting anxious now. I woke up at 1 a.m. and realized this is all coming true, it is going to happen and then getting back to sleep was so hard.
I am not scared or worried because I have faith in my surgeon and the staff at the hospital, I am nervous and anxious because this is it, this is the real deal and I am not going back now. This has been a journey of millions of steps, many years and oh so many days. I have seen bottom and I do not like it. I refuse to quit and I WILL MAKE IT.
14 days is so little time to wait now after waiting so many years. 2 weeks is a drop in the bucket.
I have this anxiety in my gut, my chest and my mind. I feel like a kid right before Christmas.

The 2 weeks will fly by and you'll be on your way to goal before you know it. I think everyone who has had surgery has felt what you are feeling. Sounds like you have done all your research and are as prepared as you can be. It's super important to have total faith in your choice of surgeon and it sounds like you do.You have the knowledge, the attitude, and the will needed for this journey. You are going to do great!

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference...

I have had to keep upbeat and face this head on. My life was turning bad, my health was getting worse and I was looking at not being here next year if it kept up.... Hell No I Won't Go..
Making this decision took a very long time and once it happened I knew it was right.
This is the greatest gift I could give myself and once it happens I will live life to it's fullest.
Thank you for being here and thanks to all who have made this site happen and the support we all receive. There is power in #s and BOY OH BOY we have the #s.

Congrads to you!  its a count down, I remember adding my last min updates feeling the same as you!  my surgery was 4-26 (1 month ago)  I don't regret it, same situation my body was falling apart so I gave this to myself for my 50th b-day wooo hoooo!  it was the best thing I could have done, already I can breathe, sleep better & joint pain almost gone in my knees, I think down around 25 lbs I go to Dr tomorrow for my 1 mo visit will know for sure then.  Good luck to you and keep doing your research the more you know the easier it will be, have protein drinks you like on hand & liquids you can have per Dr's orders. Keep us posted!

Thank you so much, I am really interested in hearing about all of your time through this and others too. We really need to get a voice out there on this condition because a lot of people do not understand... at all.

I am going to be following my progress and doing a picture diary of it. This is a great tool not just for ourselves but for those who may be thinking of doing it too.

Sleep is a hard thing for me right now with the excitement I am feeling. I know I will sleep some but I have little bolts wanting me awake..lol
Great to meet you and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

We all had some of the same feelings before surgery, even some of the sleepless nights. The days will slip by, your feelings will be up and down like a yoyo and this is normal. I recall the same emotions before surgery. Doing this for myself was the best thing I have done in a long time. Come share lots, we are here for you. Hugs
