POTTY QUESTION
Hello all!
I am still getting used to my new body and I have a couple of questions...
Once you start eating "normal food".. What should your pooh be like??
I have been eating "normal" food for about 2 weeks and my poo has been like little baby poohs is that normal? I am talking about maybe 2 little poohs about every third day..and it's really pasty.
I am thinking there has to be more than that in there.. I am thinking about taking some miralax.
Sounds "normal" to me. That was pretty much my experience at that stage. If you feel like you are not completely eliminating everything, add the miralax. It won't hurt you. Remember, you are eating food, but very small amounts, and your body is trying to adjust to all the changes. I'm about 5 weeks ahead of you and still going thru changes and adjustments and probably will be for quite some time. You are doing fantasti****ep us posted.

Sounds pretty normal to me too. You are eating so little. I too had pasty pooh's once I started going regularly following surgery. then when you are getting in lots of protein you may even get constipated. If youare uncomfortable and feel (as Rhonda suggested) you are not going enough, the miralax is very safe.
They told me before my surgery not to be suprised if I only went once every 2 to 3 days, but I was more regular after wls than before...go figure1
best of luck.

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Hi Ledaizey, I too was having 'issues' usually constipation. I needed to add fiber to my diet, then I needed a little of the added fiber pre op too. Check with your surgeon about adding fiber. I mix generic benefiber to my crystal light daily. Using mirilax as needed. Makes a world of difference in my life. Hugs
My Dr suggests all natural Senna, which has been working great so far! I take 3 of them a day, try to have some fiber cereal and a swig of MOM a day. I think I've FINALLY found a concoction that works daily for me. It may be a little extreme, but I've always had pooh problems, and worse now since surgery.
But, I had the same pooh's you're talking about.
Take care!
