Welcome to the loser's side of surgery June.  Are you getting your fluids and protein in?  I was told no carbs or starches, focus on proteins first.  There is so little room in our new pouches.  Try your best to follow your MD's program.  Are you getting in frequent short walks?  Having buyer's remorse is very normal.  Hang in there.  Hugs

I be lucky if I can get my 6 cups of fluids in me a day let alone protien.  Was reading my gastric bypass bible lol read it wrong says I can have solid liquids example was drain soup puree had fluid and cracker puree again as you can imagine the one cracker i did eat took me over 4 hours to eat and a mouse nibble I did walk the first day back and yesterday will try today been in pain and no fever today.

June, Congrats on your arrival to the losers bench! You will feel better and better over time. I am a little suprised your sureons plan includes crackers, as this early out we have so little room in ur pouches, we can't really even fit in the protein. Also, if things like crackers / breads are a trigger food for you, avoid them at all costs!  Try very hard to get those fluids in so you do not dehydrate. Many early post-ops end up in the ER dehydrated needing IV fluids, so try to avoid this, especially with running a fever! One way to help get those liquids in is sugar free popsicles. I practically lived on those my first 2 weeks post op for my liquids. Just did not handle water well at all then.

Keep an eye on that fever. Don't let things go if it climbs. Get your little walks in and rest when you body says it needs to.
Hugs!

Welcome.  Let me tell you that sugar free popsicles the first couple of weeks helped me alot with the fluids and just to feel better along with chicken broth (i dipped a saltine or 2 in the chicken broth which helped alot as well).  Be patient with yourself and just keep sipping whatever you can.
