Well it has been two weeks tomorrow since my surgery.  Things have been going well since the gas seems to be gone.  I have pain on the left side between  2 incisions but the Dr said it was due to nerve damage.  Bending to the left is a problem but there are always ways around that.  I have been eating well I think.  Trying to get all my protein seems to be the hardest thing. I just forget.  Also drinking enough water and other fluids seems to be a challenge as well.  I just need to work harder on it.  I have lost a total of 14 pounds since the surgery.  I am walking and and up to 3.5 miles a day and it is gong well.  I'm looking forward to being under 270 by the end of the week.

That's great you are doing so well...........I am also 2 weeks out today.  It's nice to hear another person is doing well with little complications I was beginning to think I was a fluke LOL.  I have had little complications and have been able to get all my 64oz of fluid in and the protein is easy for me because I am on protein drinks the Dr's office sells.

Well good luck

None of you are flukes..lol. Sounds like things are about normal!
I had that pain between incision sites too. I called it my invsable boo boo. Felt like a bad bruise, but was deeper and not visable. My Dr told me it was due to the abdominal wall being stretched out so far to do the surgery, that it is actually muscle pain. The muscle got bruised and stretched and it took me several months for it to go away completely.

Congratulations to all of you - glad things are going so well! Getting all your protein and fluids in does get easier as time goes by, although I'm still drinking shakes because I have a hard time with meat and need that extra protein!
