Hello everybody.
Been feeling a little low the last couple of days. I think I might be going through pain killer withdrawal. Prior to my surgery, I took Darvocet N-100 for migraines associated with neck pain. They always killed the pain right away but now that I've had the bypass they don't work. I've been taking liquid Vicodin (Lortab) since my surgery but I'm currently taking the equivalent of 8 Vicodin a day. My doctor is going to refer me to a pain management specialist and I will most likely go on some sort of patch.
My food has been terrible the last couple of days. Not eating a lot just not making very good choices. I think that has to do with the depression more than anything else. I was down to 194 and now back up to 197. I'm just grateful that Im not back into the 200's again.
I've also been putting every waking moment into the jewelry business. Between stringing and taking pictures and working on the website I've been a little consumed and the things I do to be good to myself have kind of gone by the wayside.
I am going to try and get to water aerobics tomorrow afternoon. Its been almost 2 weeks and I know I'm not getting anywhere near enough exercise in.
Well that's is for me. Sorry to be such a downer today.

I am so sorry you are going through a bad time right now. I know how terribly debilitating pain can be. I watch my husband suffer daily with severe pain from his accident. So my heart is so with you. I know its terrible to live in such pain daily.
It is hard to stay focused on taking care of ourselves when we are depressed, tht I think, is part of what contributed to obesity for many of us. I do have a quick question / reminder for you. Are you using the journal you got from the call? Try to take some time each day to use that. It can really help keep you focued and find clarity. Even if you don't want to do the food and exercise part, use the second part each day. Thats the part that helps us identify whats really happening under the surface and find ways to deal differntly in the future.
My friend, try to find a balance between business and personal life. While I know you love your jewelry making, you still have to find time for you and taking care of you. I struggle with this sometimes too, and am learning to set limits for myself, but its no always easy.
