Just popping in on this lovely morning.  It is freezing here in NJ, crazy as normally it's quite lovely at this time with the May flowers and all that.

I finished final exams on Monday night and did okay.  I start classes again on Wednesday nights untl August and then I complete the certificate.

I'm also trying to get my little one matriculated for Pre-K.  I'm not sure they will take him if by September he's not potty trained, so it's going to be an interesting summer lol.

Good vibes to all.  God bless.

Good morning! Cold here too today! Working outdoors as weather permits.. may be over doing it too much.. but someone has to do it..lol
Congrats on passing the exams and being so close to getting your certificate! You go girl!

Good luck on the potty training. When i potty trained my son, I was a single mom, so couldn't demonstrate.. so we played the "sink the cheerios" game. Toss a cheerio or 2 in the potty and tell him to pee on it to sink it. My son loved this game and was potty trained in no time!

Best of luck!

congratulations on your tests.  that is such a relief.  good luck on the potty training.  the trick for me was to take them out of diapers (even disposable underwear) immediately. once i started putting them in underwear they didn't want to soil their grownup pants.   hang in there. vick

Good luck with the potty training; boy am I glad those days are over.  My "babies" are 22 and 23.

Glad to hear you did well in school.  What kind of certificate are you working towards?

Hi Jane, it always feels great to have a class completed.  Yayyy for you.  Summer project of potty training, should be done by this fall.  I don't have kids, no voice of experience on the potty training topic.

We have been dealing with wet cool weather too.  Snowed last friday and rain on/off since then.  I did get the critters out for a short walk a couple of days ago.  Sounds like more of the same weather all weekend.  Lots of hugs for you too

Hello ladies,

Thank you for the suggestions.  I have been pondering just leaving him in big kid undies, but also am a little hesitant to just let him pee or poo all over the place.  I think I might wait a few more weeks to take him out of hte diapers.  Right now I am trying to get him excited.  He "practice" sits on the potty in the bathroom and is taking interest when we adults all go to the bathroom.  I think he's almost ready except for the fact that he doesn't tell me he needs to use the bathroom, he will tell me after the fact.  I will try the suggestions though, once he's in full blown training mode.  Hehe.

I am working towards a post-graduate certificate in Child Advocacy.  Which basically is fancy for the first five classes I would need if I were to get the full-blown masters in it.  The classes have fleshed out the finer points of my job, like interviewing children, assessing for safety and risk, and legal issues that arise in Child Protection.

I'm not quite sure it's what I want to get my Master's Degree in, but everyone keeps saying I should just fini**** now while the baby is young.  I never saw myself working in Child Protection when I was younger.  As a kid I dreamt of being a rock star or someone famous.  I never pursued it because of my weight.  I don't know if I can say I regret what I do, because it's rewarding in its own way, but I do know I can't do this forever.  The stress level is high and I don't have much time for myself after I've given so much of my soul to the families I service.

Sorry for the book, but I'm long-winded.  I hope you all have a blessed day.

I know what you mean about stress.  Sometimes we give so much of ourselves at work that there is little leftover to use for our selves when we get home.  On particularly stressful shifts I am the same.  Takes time to wind down and now I can't just feed that stress.

Bless you for looking out for the little ones.  Sending my mega hugs your way.
