getting nervouse
Well wls date coming up real soon. Its like having a big test and mind go blank lol. Am I scared you bet.
I just want to make sure I do every thing right. I am so thankful for the this site. I haven't been on much just seem out of sorts here some times.
But I have done a lot of reading so I know for the most part what to expect. See my primary tomorrow and heart doctor. Have to do the 24 hour heart monitor. Go in this coming Sunday at midnight.
Found a great deal on clothes. Next door neighbor had 16 to 24 size on womans clothing on sale bought the hole lot for 60 bucks. That is three 33 gallon size trash bag size full of clothes. So I should be set for a little while lol. Not sure what size I will be in next month or the next month after that.
Any last minute input here will be much appreciated. Especially any info on what food I should eat when I get home suggestions I have my wls bible lol they kind of vague.

Good morning June, just know that you are doing something wonderful for your health. Pack a tube of lip balm, slip on slippers and you should be set for the hospital. Stash a pillow in the car to pad the seatbelt on the trip home.
Your appetite will be completely different after surgery. I love tha part of not having hunger. Just remember, protein first. You got a great doeal on clothing to take you through the next few months. Cool. Hugs

Hang in there lady! Don't let your nerves get the best of you. I found that by educating myself ALOT prior to my surgery, and having total faith in my surgeon, my nerves were not bad at all. But then, I knew my surgeon was a great one. He saved my husbands life just a year before he did my surgery, and no one thought he was going to survive.
You were very smart to stock up on the various sizes of clothing to get you through the first several months. And just think next summer you can re-sell them at your own yard sale, and that can help you buy the next sizes you will need.
I am not sure what your wls surgeon has you following for a food plan / diet post op, but most instruct for a liquid diet initially. Mine did not. I started at pureed / soft. If you do start with liquid, it'll be pretty boring, but remember it is only temporary. Sugar free Jello, popsicles (which help alot with liquid intake if water is hard to tolorate early on). Protein supplements, broths (low fat or fat free), It also depends on if you are put on clear liquids or full liquids. Clear liquids are anything you can see through. Full liquids are just anything that is liquid, or liquid at room temperature (jello, popsicles). Just stay away from anything with sugar or flour, and keep it low low carb and lower on fats.
Hang in there and best of luck to you lady! Hang on and get ready for an awesome ride.

Have a few days still to experiment I know no caffeine so will have to get decaf. Will be here tonight no more job over 200 employees lost their job friday last day. So looking forward to the support group tonight.
splash and fun, by the way, what is your name?
about the sierra mist, is this a carbonated drink? you should never drink carbonated drinks, according to my doc. it can do damage to your stomach by expanding in there. so make sure it is not carbonated, VERY IMPORTANT.
sounds like you are being really smart with everything. get the knowledge before hand is really wise. i'm sure you will do great.
take care of yourself and good luck to you. vick
EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW
Everyone else has given great advice and suggestions on food, so I'm just going to say I hope everything goes great for you, that you have an easy and uneventful surgery and a quick recovery. I think the more research you do, the better off you are. You still can't know or understand it all til you are actually on the other side, but research sure helps. Hang in there, you'll be on the losers bench before you know it,

Rhonda
