Next week's surgery list - let's welcome this group to the loser's bench
Wow, Friday again and another chapter in the lives of our friends here at OH who are scheduled for surgery in the next week. Let's take a moment this weekend to send a note off to these fortunate folks who are starting the next phase in weight loss. Either initial surgery, revisions or plastic surgery. One way that we can show our support for others is to share notes back and forth. I try to keep up on the latest and greatest for the friends I have here on OH. Please feel free to add anyone else that you know to the thread.

Congrats the time for your surgery is approaching. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Praying for a calm, planned surgical process, speedy, smooth recovery and that you are feeling up to posting to share of your experience after you recover. Come to the bariatric buddy group page and post a note when you are able. Hugs, Kathy

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
It's crazy. I remember in January when I started the process it seemed like it would take forever but here I am 4 days away. I am anxious to begin this journey and to share my experience with others. It's my turn for a new chapter in my life without being the "heavy" one. Thanks to all of you veterans for sticking around for newbies like me who look to all of you for advice and support. Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks Kenyetta
I never thought I'd be here: days away from starting a new journey. I finally made the decision to seriously pursue WLS only after my mother's life was spared during her visit in Haiti in January. She miraculously made it back to Florida safely and I could no longer deny that I was letting my weight take me to an early grave. It made appreciate all my loved ones, including my beloved husband of 18 years, and my precious 6 year old son. I've really jumped through hoops with the insurance company and getting my pre-op clearances, but it is so worth it! Logging onto OH, reading your posts, and seeing those wonderful before and after pictures have given me such strength to see this through now and beyond. I thank all of you for your support. Although I am a virtual stranger to you all, I feel welcome! After my surgery, I promise to keep you posted of my progress and upload my own set of before/afters! Thank you so much, and I pray for others with upcoming surgeries, that their surgeon's hands are guided to perform without faltering, for uncomplicated recoveries, and bright tomorrows!
