Bariatric Buddy
New to BB and wanted to say HI!
Hello everyone!
I am new to Bariatric Buddy and wanted to take this opportunity to say Hello!
I had RNY 12/23/09. I have since lost about 75 pounds or so. For the last 4-5 weeks though I have been in a MAJOR stall! I thought I broke the stall a week ago when I lost a couple pounds, but I gained that back and have lost and gained the same couple pounds now. I am wondering if I will loose more!
Anyway. I am 25, married to the love of my life, and have one little boy who is 3. I recently graduated college with a double major--Phlebotomy and Paralegal. I have since just started working fro a local attorney and I LOVE my job. It is M-F 8-5 with no hollidays or weekends! COuldn't ask for better hours!
Anyway, If you want to know more just ask! I try to get online once a day!
Later!
Missy

misssy, welcome to the bb family. i think you will find the support you want here. one way to break a stall is to start listing exactly what is going on. how much protein, fluid and exercise. up your protein, but don't go over 100 g, up your fluids also. make sure you are eating enough. you can go into starvation mode if you don't give your body enough fuel. watch the carbs, sweets etc. you will break that stall, i know you can do it. hang in there. it is good to hear your posting. vick

Hey Missy! Welcome to our group! great to have you with us here!
You got some very good advice above! So far your loss has been very good. It will pick up again. You are not done losing yet! Look at everything, and note if you have strayed off track in any areas. If so, hop back on course. If not, time to shake things up a bit! The less we weigh, the less calories we burn doing things, so we have to ramp it up as we go down in weight.
You can do this! looking forward to helping you along, sharing your journey and success!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Hi Missy, glad to meet you and congrats on your surgery. Looks like you are doing great on your weight loss. Keep up the good work. We all hit those stalls unfortunately and believe me we all know how frustrating it can be but they are normally temporary. With me it seemed the closer I got to goal and or the more I got on my scales the longer the stall lasted. I have found that sometimes a little more protein to the diet and making sure I get the right amt of liquids in helps along with sometimes a little change in the exercise routine works for me.
