liquid potassium
Anyone else taking liquid potassium? I have a very low potassium count and have to take a supplement. Can't do the horse pills, so I have to do liquid.. unfortunatly it tastes disgusting and makes me want to gag, but I know I have to take it.
Any ideas/suggestions on how to disquise the taste? I am currently adding orange kool aid in hopes of making it taste better.
Thanks Buddies!

I honestly do not know how it tastes, or how strong the taste is. Not sure what would mask it. maybe mixed in a bit of a protein shake? Crystal light? Sorry, but I have never had to take it so just not sure.
Hoping you find a decent and tolotable way of getting it in. Maybe you could get a pill cutter and chop up the biger tablet into small pieces that you could swallow?

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Try to dissolve your tablet in water. do not cru**** tastes horid crushed and has sharp edges when crushed. Some brands of tablets will melt into granules easily in just a little water, 1-2 teaspoons of water. These granules can be taken as is in the small amount of water or mixed into applesauce or sugarfree jelly to make them go down easier. We used this method for those who could not swallow the pill when I worked with folks with a swallowing problem. Check with your pharmacist on other options available. I believe there are other possibilities. Best of luck in finding a palatable one, gotta do what is needed for health. Hugs

Hi, I also have problems with my potassium dropping low so take prescription potassium daily to the tune of 40-60 meqs. When it was first discovered my primary care started me out on liquid potassium. YUCK! Like you I had a very hard time with it and just couldn't stomach it no matter how I tried to mask it so had to cal them and they were able to change it to tablet form which I split and take and seem to be doing much better with. I have also been really concentrating on trying to eat potassium enriched foods. Sometimes a hard time because they don't always match up with our protein foods but we give it our best shot. Good luck with finding a way to get ur potassium under control.
