My second carb de-tox day is over! whew!!

Today was a little harder than yesterday, mainly because the idea of drinking more than one protein shake made me gag.
Anyhow, these were the results of today's effort:

Breakfast: Coffee (as yesterday), 1 soft boiled egg, 1 slice beer salami, 1 cream cracker. Proteins: 11, Carbs: 14, Calories: 202.

Morning Snack: 1 oz pistachios. Proteins: 6, Carbs: 8, Calories: 160

Lunch: 2 oz chicken thigh, meat only. Proteins: 13, Carbs: 0, Calories: 105.

Afternoon: Protein drink with 1 cup skim milk. Proteins: 26, Carbs: 12, Calories: 186.

Dinner: 2 oz Beef (same as yesterday). Proteins: 15, Carbs: 0, Calories: 100.

I could have done without the cracker and the pistachios for a few less carbs, I suppose, but my egg came out too soft boiled at breakfast and then mid-morning I was hungry and since I hadn't done the shopping yet the pantry was empty.

Amalia...you are doing wonderfully!
You got in all of your protein needs, and kept the carbs pretty doggone low. The carbs in the pistachios aren't so bad either, as they are mostly complex carbs (naturally occuring, not processed or sugar related). The serving size was a reasonable one. Good choice and good control!
Today, decide that you are going to continue your good fight against the carb monster and win! You can do it! After today, you will be over the initial hump of de-carbing yourself! Get that shopping done, and have the good things available to you. Consider removing temptations in the home that may derail you again.
I am looking forward to reading about day number three!
