Not sleeping well at all...

Patrece S.
on 5/2/10 8:33 pm - CO
I have no clue what is going on with me, but i am just not sleeping well at all these last 2 nights. Both nights, waking up at like 2 am and cannot get back to sleep. last night it was after 5 am before i got back to sleep. Who knows what tonight (this morning) will be. It is now 4:21 am, and i am gong to go try it again. Have the clock set for 8 am, as I have a ton of things to do tomorrow, and an apptI can't miss.

The weather here is making me just crazy! It has been so cool, cloudy, and threatening rain, but not too much of that has come. Just cloudy and cool enough to make it unpleasant to be outside.  AND THE WIND! It has been nutz! I told my husband we ought to put up a windmill for power. We have had like 3 weeks where almost every day has been crazy windy. The next 3 days are supposed to be sunny and warm. Ohhhh how I hope this is so! I really want to get outside more for walks, and to work on working in this yard a bit. Want to prepare an area for a small garden. here, we usually plant round the end of May. I am reallyyyyyy looking forward to fresh homegrown veggies, especially tomatoes. I LOVE garden fresh tomatoes. Summer just wouldn't be complete without them. Wish me luck, as colorado has not only a short growing season, but also not th best soil for growing. I have all my goodies to rototill into the area... hoping it all goes great this year! Lots of watering needed here too, as southern colorado is semi-desertous, although last summer it didn't seem so. I am going to do raised garden beds this year. Last year i did container gardening with not the best results. Also hoping to get some drip irrigation in place in the garden. This I know nothing about, so will likely have to have someone come in to do this for me. We have a sprinkler system, but it has damage, so thats gonna have to get worked on too. soooooo much to get squared away.

Well the yawns are kicking in. maybe now i can get some rest again. Hoping i get back into a normal sleep cycle soon. I spent all day Sunday feeling awful from the poor sleep Sat night.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hope you were able to go back to sleep Patrice.  Lack of sleep leaves us feeling so bad and it is not good for you.   I didn't think I'd sleep last night, but slept pretty good.  Woke up for good at 7:00 a.m.  Now I will run (not literally) through the house with a swiffer duster.  Meet some of my friends at 10:00 for coffee.  I don't drink it, but we all get together.  Usually it is after swimming, but I didn't go in this morning.

Then wait around, get myself packed,  some books, a comfortable pair of pj's to walk around in on Wednesday, toothbrush, gas-x, some halls sugar free losenges for throat after they remove the tubes, a pair of slip on sandals which give some support and my eyebrow pencil, without it I don't have eyebrows they are so sparse.   We all need our eyebrows.  LOL. Oh yeah, a tube of moisterizer for my lips, deoderant etc.   I think that should do it.

Nervous, excited, clear liquids today.  Magesium Citrate at 5:00 p.m.  Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.  Don't think it will be a problem, good live off the "fat of the land" for a good long while.
 .

The sun is out and that is a very good thing.  Helps with the mood.  Looks like I am just running off at the mouth here, that is the nerves.   Patrece hope you have a good day.  I too will be planting a garden but you don't really plant anything here before memorial day.  Too much chance of late freezes.   Take care.  Good Luck on the tomatoes

It's probably the spring kicking in, Patrece :) I hope you did finally get some sleep last night! I find myself having the opposite problems. Whereas I was an insomniac all winter, nowadays all I want to do is sleep!
That vegetable garden sounds marvelous! It's one of my dreams to be able to pick veggies and aromatic herbs from my own garden patch some day. Not very likely, seeing as how I live in concrete city.

Over 110 lbs lost!! (Finally!)

Maybe Container gardening would be just the thing for you! I did finally get back to sleep. But these big chunks of awake time in the middle of it all is pooping me out.
I hope you are feeling more rested and well soon!

Patrece, do you think it could be all the protein we get? I too am the same way only since I started my Protein drinks, but love them because I have so much energy, but last night Islept ok because so busy with Company yesterday was drained. Love yard work, good luck with your Garden perfect idea, do you have a Lowes or Home Depot you can go to for your drip system? they are very easy to install you would be suprised and good to get you out indoors ;0) workers are so helpful to teach you how to install & you will feel proud to see your results, Food for thought? Good luck and may your weather be good soon!

Hey there... yes, I actually have both just about 20 minutes or so from me. I'll have to look into it! Thanks for the encouragement. I was thinking it was some kind of highly technical thing to nstall like a sprinkler system.. lol. I am going to check with one of those two places Wed. Today, th day will be spent in Colorado springs with my daughter. She has an ultra sound appt then the OB visit after, then we are going to buy a crib and mattress and a few other items.
Thanks again!
