Recent Loss
I am so lost, and I feel all empty inside, I had her since she was a week old pup. She would have been five years old next month.
By the time I got home from Little Rock she was in a coma.
The vet ran some test after they got her on oxygen and some iv's, finally got enough of a blood pressure to draw blood, and the verdict was Renal failure, and her kidneys had shut down.
So, needless to say I am very depressed, and cant stand being in this house. I stayed a couple extra days at my sisters, and I am going to go back tomarrow probably.
I will try to drop in and let everyone know how things are going.
I am having an allergic reaction to the stitches in my incision, and have to go back to Dr. Bakers on Monday and let him get the stitches out, and see if there is some way he can close up the 3 holes in the bottom of my incision.
I have lost like 33 pounds since my surgery, and am doing pretty good on that part I rekon.
I am almost getting in all my fluids and protein. And am going to put forth more effort to getting it all in. Plus all my vitamins.
I hope you all are doing ok.
I will check in soon.
Huggz,

I want to share with you this beautiful story. It brings me comfort and tears when I read it, and i read it every time I have lost a beloved fur baby.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Love and hugs to you.

When you feel that you have done everything you need to do to grieve your loss, maybe there will be another 4-legged little one that can come into your life...not to replace Miss Tubbies. It is impossible to find a replacement. I know that from personal experience. But a heart as big as yours and with such room for love might find that there will come a day when you are ready to invite another pet in. There are so many that need love and attention....our shelters are full of them. I hope that one day in the future, you will think of making a visit to your local shelter.
Take care of you, and I hope that your grief will soon make way for all the good memories of your life with Miss Tubbies.
Peace,
Guayas
