I would like to thank all who gave me support when I was so afraid of this life long change!  I did it   Bit Bloated today but I have decreased almost all my pain meds maybe thats it?   If I take my pain meds I actually get up and around too much (feel no pain & can do to much)  It's hard to drink enough water it seems but I keep my bottle with me at all times and am keeping track of oz. drank just in case.  I actually have no desire for foods right now & have to make myself drink my liquids, I see how people can actually just put it aside and not do because your body dosn't crave anything at least mine dosn't (which is good because I was worried about the food I was going to morn)  Will keep posted on my recovery! PS I lost 14 lbs post op WOO HOO! (was supprised when got weighted prior to surgery, but of course seemed all my inners were gone by then lol )  So far so good!  Thanks again, Cathy

feeling great!, I have to make myself drink when I should but thats not too hard but no appetite YET!!!  will see,  I'm trying to medication free as of today is 5 days post op because I catch myself doing to much up and about & I should be resting more i think but all ok so far :0)  I feel I am going to need a pill reminder container for all my vitamins because I seem to forget to take as needed since I can't take all at the same time, so its on my things to get list.  Take care, Cathy

We had surgery on the same date. You are correct about the pain meds, I am also up and around and doing too much after they kick in. Hope your recovery goes well. I also hear ya about the food and drink. Always need to have something with you so you are sipping, sipping, sipping according to the dietician.
