Met my first Goal...Yeahhh!!!

So,  I told myself about a week ago that I wanted the scale to be down to 339 by Sunday April 25.  Well, that didn't happen need less to say and I know exactly why.  For one I started my period and so I was probably retaining some water, hormones were kicking my but emotionally so I went on a carb binge.  I hated it! Secondly, I went off of my diet so no protein shakes, less water the whole sorry a&& gambit.

Well, tell me how in the world my scale says 339???  To be sure I waited a while (twice) and re-checked it.  I am officially out of the 340's.  I am super excited.

I called the surgeon to make sure exactly the weight she wants me to be down to.  I need to be down to 330lbs.  I can do this.  I feel so confident right now.  However, I want to be around 325lbs when I go in just to make up the clothing weight and the scale difference.  Just to be minimally safe.  I have to travel for an hour to reach her office and gas out here is 3.09 9/10 a gallon.  I am not trying to waste any money and get the same outcome as February.

My goal now is to get down to 325lbs.  Second goal is to have a date for surgery some time in June at the latest.  Now i know this all depends on how fast I get the approval from insurance but I am told it is about 2wks.  I will just try to be patient all the while lighting a fire under there fanny to get it done.

You guys I am just so super excited to see the numbers.  I know its not a lot but for me it is telling me that my half arsed efforts are working and proving to myself that I can do it.  Imagine if I put my all into it what I can achieve!  I want this so bad and now I am starting to taste it.  When I first started my weight loss journey I believe I weighed 371 lbs. That's a total of about 32lbs.  I have never lost this much before.

For all of you that read this post, if you missed out on the Bariatric Buddy tele-class and the chance to get your free food journal, you really did miss out.  The food journal alone is awesome!  It isn't too late to get some benefit from it either.  Contact Patrece (Group Leader) and I am sure she will be more than happy to help you.  This is such a great weight loss/ Bariatric maintenance tool and it would be a shame not to take advantage.  Good luck to you all!!

I am proud of the great attitude you are showing these last couple of days Gigi.  That is what makes a winner.  The more weight you shed during this pre op time, the easier it will be for your surgeon to do the surgery and the easier your recovery.  Use this enthusiasm to propel yourself into the adventure.  I will listen to the tele-class in the morning.

The grey cloudy day and recent illness led me to major league nap time today.  I am finally turning the corner and feeling a little better.  Hang in there Gigi, the best is yet to come.  Hugs

Gigi.. i am so happy for you in reaching this goal! YES you CAN do this! And I am so proud of the effort you have been putting into this. Perfection does not exist.. not in any form...so just keep on doing your best and try to talk yourself out of the not so good choices. With each pound you lose, your incentive will be greater!

Glad you like the Journal! Let me know if I can assist you in using it pre-op.
Hugs!

Thats great !  I went thru stages pre surgery diet and did the same thing were human,  get back on cutting back the carbs & drink water & cut out the Soda's (If you drink them),  I found the best thing that worked for me was getting more Protein  & water in me,  I learned of the Adkins shakes with less sugar with 17 grams protein and it worked!  I felt a lot more energy & less hungry.  Good luck with your surgery date!  Cathy
