this am i weighed in at 138.9 and day before yesterday it was 139.0.  i think i want to keep this weight, spoke to my wls doc friday and he said was a good weight.  when this all first started he wanted me at 165.  i think docs tell you on the high side so you won't be disappointed. what do u think?  my face has filled in some and looks better to me. when i weighed 126 i was way to skinny. i looked terrible.

accidently sent this so now i am editing it to fini**** off. hope it works out ok.

how are all of you guys doing?   are you happy with the way things are going for you? are you able to adhere to your program?  i have a problem with potato chips.  that is the only way i have been able to put on weight and now i am hooked. afraid if i quit i will lose back down to 126 or so.  my doc would freak if he knew i was eating potatoe chips.  for those of you who are new, DON'T DO THIS WITH CARBS LIKE I DID.  now i am hooked and i am going to have to seriously work on this for a few days to be able to kick the carb craving.  wish me luck on this.

i had a body scan the other day. they are checking my knees out to see if they are loose or if there is an infection. i hope they find some explaination for the pain.  when i went to see my bone doc he wasn't there due to a family emergency.  i told the pa that i wanted a second opinion because this has been going on for toooooooooo long and is getting worse and worse. told him i had to go to strong pain meds and i don't like taking what i am on now.  even this new meds don't cut the pain but it is a little better.  i will keep you posted on what is happening folks.

where are the few men we have on this board.  we need you guys, you offer a different slant on stuff and that is important.  haven't seen you post for a while.   COME ON YOU HE MEN, POST FOR US TO GET YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY. WE MISS YOU.

hope u all have a wonderbar day.  you all have been a great support for me and i want you to know how much i appreciate this.  let me know if i can be there for you more.

vick

Your face has nice curves and love the smile Vick.  Do you feel healthy?  Are things stabilizing in other areas too, how is your hubby doing???, parents???

Hope to touch base with you during chat tonight, I hope to be awake during the chat time.  Went to the clinic today, official case of sinus infection, ughhhhhhh, no fun.  Off to the pharmacy to pick up antibiotics in a few minutes.  Planning another major nap this afternoon.  Have a great day Vick.  Hugs

Vick.. glad you are at a healthier weight now. But I agree you have to kick the chips for sure, or the regain may continue.. try other crunchy things.. carrots, celery, protein chips even... after about 3 days you should be carb detoxed and not craving them so much.
I agree i think the surgeons want us to be realistic in our expectations. And also as we age it is natural that we may not weigh in where you are now. I know I am still 20 lbs heavier than before i had kids, but i am fairly slender, kinda.. and i'm ok with this.

I hope they can get to the bottom of what is going on with thpse knees of yours. I have heard (not sure how true) that after significant weight loss the joints can loosen a bit.. but who knows if this is true or not.. i really don't know. let me know what they find. I hope your pain eases for you my firned.

Let me know however I can continue to support you in this journey of life we are all on... its not always so easy is it!? Love and hugs my friend.

Vicki, I'm glad you have finally reached a weight you are happy at. Be careful with those potato chips! They are one of my worst trigger foods. I can't even eat ONE without getting hooked!

I hope they find out what's wrong with your knees and can give you the right treatment. I know from personal experience how painful knee problems can be. Get to the bottom of this!

I'm doing OK. I can eat alost normally now, exept for the quantities. I even had some strawberries yesterday! That was my first raw fruit since the surgery! I can tolerate a little salad too now - not a whole dish, by any means - just a couple of bites with my dinner. Protein is all well and good, but I miss vegetables! (who'd have thought it? LOL)  I was never a big meat eater though and I want my occasional vegeterian dish. Only it doesn't sit well with my stomach - yet. The weight loss has slowed considerably but I'm still going in the right direction so no complains.

Have a wonderful day, Vicki, and keep us posted on your progress!

Amalia
