I am sure I will have alot of questions as I go along and am so glad I have my OH Friends to get advise and support from. As for now any advise on liquid diet phase about protein Drinks, or any other liquids you might suggest. Exactly what do I need for my Hospital stay which will just be overnight. Thanks for all your support my friends!

Congrats on your upcoming surgery! I know you must be getting so very excited!
As for protein, be sure it is a no sugar added variety, that has a very low carb content. I like unjury brand (unjury.com) But we all have different preferences. Also make sure it is an "isolate". this means it is in its most absorbable form for us.
After surgery, you may want to make sure you have some sugarfre popsicles on hand. I was nauseated by water my first cuple of weeks after surgery, and these pops enabled me to not ony get in my liquids, but gave me some intense flavor too, which I found after a few days, I really craved.
Very little needed for hospital really. You may want to take any meds you are currently on so if your surgeon doesn't order them for you, you have them with you to take. Chap stick is good to have as you likely will find your lips are very dry. A robe to wear when you get up for walks, and loose comfy clothes for the ride home. Then of course toothbrush and paste and deodorant, etc. Please let us know how you are as son as you are able ok? You will be in my thoughts, heart and prayers! Can't wait to welcome you to the losers bench!

Stacy, pack lightly. Lip balm, pillow for seat belt padding on the trip home and a pair of slip on slippers. Reaching me feet to put on the bootie slippers was the hardest part of surgery. If you use a CPAP machine bring it. I also sleep best in the dark and brought my eye shade mask to shut out any light from my roommate. I packed lots more myself, never took anything else out of my bag.

During the time when you are awake, sip, sip, sip and stroll, stroll, stroll, then majoy league nappage. Wishing you all the best. Hugs
