It's official - taking a sick day

Well everyone, I have been working lots of hours at work, said no for extra hours yesterday.  Yayyyy for me, the word 'no' sometimes feels like it weight so much that it does not even cross my mind.  I took the day for myself, slept a bit and then decided to do some shopping I wanted to do before attending and evening wls group meeting.  During my last couple of work shifts, seems like spring allergies were happening, sinus headache, dry tickly cough.  The spring trees are just starting to bud out.  Got out my inhaler that I only need during allergy season and used it at directed.  Not a whole lot of relief, but then I am invinciable (well not really, but my mind thinks I am).

Did my errands, slowly strolled around a few stores to look at spring clothes.  My last summer's clothes are unacceptable, I am NOT going to wear suspenders to keep my shorts from falling off, lol.  On my drive home, I started coughing up some of that colored stuff that says, I really am sick.  No further details, use your imaginations...  Took benadryl and extra fluids before retiring for sleep.  I woke up with a voice that is at least an octive lower than normal, I sound male today when I talk.  Feel like someone sanded the inside of my lungs.  Started the day cuddled to a bowl of warm chicken noodle soup.  Dozed on the sofa and not see that I need to drink a glass of something and head back to bed for some more R&R.  Oscar and Gretta are snuggled tightly, knowing that I feel under the weather.  They are even being good about not going for a long walk right now.  We will see how I feel later this afternoon.

So, later loser's, I will catch up when I start to feel a little better.  Amazing how my appetite is gone with this illness.  I am ok with that, keeping up on the liquids, lemonade crystal light i****ting the spot just right, for the moment.  Hugs, do something great for yourself today.  By the way, I found 1 capri and 1 short that I liked, this is enough to start the warmer months.  Hugs

Hope you get to feeling better soon.  I know that ole sinus stuff.  I have it too.  It is suspose to storm and rain tonight.  I welcome it.   The pollen is very bad here.  My lungs is bad.  I am taking extra meds too.   Get well soon.  Take care.

So sorry you are under the weather Kathy.   Rest, drink that chicken soup and crystal light lemonade.  Stay hydrated.  and get more .   Hugs right back to you. The pollen levels are very high here also, although most of the blooming trees are done, now it is time for the lilacs, and geraniums and all of the annuals.  My day lilies are poking their heads above ground and the clematis is going crazy.

Get some rest.
Hugs

Kathy - I'm so glad you are taking care of yourself - if need be, I"m sure you'll go to the doctor.  It is no fun to be sick.

Take care and enjoy your liquids - hot and cold.

Hugs (from a distance, so I don't catch anything!)

Thanks everyone, more napping than anything else today.  Awake for an hour and sleep for 3, feels like the tired feeling right after surgery.  I learned those months ago that if my body demands rest, I have to indulge in it.  I drifted off to sleep while eating soup for breakfast.  Soup is sounding good for supper too, think I will add in some unjury chicken to the chicken soup this evening.  Dennis is working on left overs.  Bless him for taking on that task.  PJ's are the dress of the day.

Coughing up the yuckies... sandpaper to the lungs feeling.. yup... Good call on calling off. Good for you for doing that for yourself. Watch out for that nasty bronchitis.. (Sounds like what may have hit?) I hope you are feeling all better and up to par very very soon! Keep up the resting and take good care of yourself lady!
Hugs and love to you!
My allergies have been acting up too.. Not sure how, its been so chilly here for the most part if I were a new plant or new bud, I'd want to stay in hiding still..lol.
