Emotional today

Today I am very emotional for some reason.  I came into work and before I left my hubby said "your last day for the old you at work" and it hit me.  3 more days until surgery.  I talked with my mom last night, she has been so very supportive.  She has sent me cards and we have talked.  She said last night (and I totally agree) that she and I have the kind of relationship that if we do not agree with what the other is doing we tell them and she said she was so proud of me. I cried My husband will pick her up on Tuesday and bring her to the hospital to see me.  I got to work today and someone I consider a wonderful friend had a beautiful card with a book from Karen Levine "Keeping Life Simple" on my desk.  The tears started again.  Then others that know about my surgery came over 'cause they heard me blowing my nose, they talked with me and gave so much support and hugs.  I think I am overwhelmed by the support I am getting and so very thankful.  It is a good day as I am loved and cared about and soon on my way to being a new healthier me.  The support here and from my family and friends will make a tremendous difference as the days go on.  Thank you all.

Cindy... It sounds like you are really embracing your decision, and thats a wonderful thing. Change is always an emotional time. We are entering into the realm of the unknown and we are bettering ourselves. Also, the outpouring of love and support must just feel awesome! Even good feelings can bring us to tears. You are adjusting emotionally to all that lays ahead, and this is a good and powerful thing. You are going to do great! I look so forward to sharing in your journey to better health and being here to cheer you on, encourage you and support you every step of the way.
Hugs!

Cindy, the circle of love surrounding you, family, friends, co workers, bariatric buddy friends, how can you not have tears of happiness.  You are most welcome, I am proud to be one of your support system as well.  Just think, in less that a week you will be a loser like a whole lot of us.  Love saying that I am a loser and that losing is the best thing.

Do something kind for yourself this weekend.  Hang in there, you have a wonderful support system in place.  Hugs

Hi Cindy,
Letting go of your old 'self" is very emotional. It's letting go of a lot of things and embracing the new.. so.. with that said. Let the emotions roll!

Don't hold them in. Cry if you need to, laugh when you want, and we will all support you no matter how "crazy" you get!

Believe me.. I am still there.. someday's I feel like a bouncy ball just pinging all over the place, but I have always found the support I need and so will you.

Here's to a quick recovery!
