Hi, My name is Rasha, I had an RNY 2 weeks ago, I lost 17 lb the first week, second week lost nothing (Stall) and just started my 3rd week.

I'm looking forward to loosing all the excess weight. my Nut. told me I have to eat 6 times a day or else I won't be able to lose weight.

Wish me luck everybody, I can't wait till I loose all the weight

Hello Rasha, that was a quick posting.  Love to invite new members to come out and share.  Welcome to the losing side of surgery.  You have just joined a great, positive support group.  We each have great contributions to make.

I find that I am eating about every 3 hours while I am awake to make the most benefit from the surgery.  Small meals, high in protein.  I am looking forward to walking beside you on your journey.  Adventure here we come.

My RNY was in Sept.  it has been quite a ride.

Hugs

Hi and Welcome!

6 times a day? Wow! I can't barely get in 2 times a day with my vit / fluids etc...
I did start out eating more, but my dr. warned me about potentially eating to much.. hmmmm..

Makes me wonder, but my weight loss has not been to bad. I stalled on week 3-4, but have lost a total of 16 lbs since my 2 week follow up..almost 3 weeks ago.

Look for to more posts from you!

Hi everyone, my name is Pat and I'm new . I've done all my per surgery and just waiting for my insurance approval. My Dr. (Dr. Yadager/Lancaster,CA) said it would probably be sometime in June, but I'm hoping for sooner. Needing some support and friends here.

Welcome Rasha and Pat to our group.
Rasha, I stalled out in week two as well. At 11 days to be exact. But it picked up again. I usually hit a stall once a month if I needed to or not..lol. Our bodies need time to adjust to what is going on. So don't let it upset you.. the loss will come.

All surgeons have a differnt eating plan in mind for their patients, and it is best to follow what they want you to. I have found that for me, I need 4 to 5 small meals a day to lose or maintain, and my surgeon had me eating only 3 times a day period. I lost faster when I increased my meal frequency.

I wish you the best of luck and success in this journey. there will be times you get frustrated, but all in all it is a positive and joyful journey.

Pat.. the time will fly for you! Use this time to ask questions, seek out information and educate yourself. It will serve you well later. Be sure to let us know when you get a date!
Again... welcome!

Patrece
