Day 2....Outta here!!

Thank goodness it is over...almost!

Today I was hungry out of boredom I think.  I didn't realize how much time went into food.  You gotta shop for it, decide what to eat ( just imagining what it would taste like even when I wasn't hungry) clean to prepare it, cook it, serve it, enjoy eating it and cleaning after it.  It occupies so much time.  I do have to admit that I am missing it.  It sucks cooking for the baby though (my baby, but she isn't she is 5).  I feel awful because I made her steamed stir fry veggies with chicken breast over brown rice and I ate a chunk of chicken and a bite of veggies.  I am happy to report that was all I did.   It could have been much worse!

I was still only able to drink one serving of the protein shake.  I will do better tomorrow is all I can say.  Maybe I will force myself to drink one before bed tonight.

I miss food so much right now.  I am a meat a potato kinda girl.  All of the liquids seem to be sweet.  The broth is coming in so handy to combat all of that sweet taste.  It is all sugar free or very low carb but it is an overload.  The V8 is a blessing.

I miss chewing and the fatty, salty goodness of food.  I cant wait to see this weight coming off even more though.  I feel so close I can "taste it".

Thank you all for the comments, understanding and not to mention the support.

Hang in there girl! you can do this. You may want to consider food counseling to help you deal with some of your food cravings and mindsets, many people find it very beneficial. As you know you have to make positve food choice changes for the rest of your life, or the surgery will just not give you the lifelong success you desire and deserve.

Sometimes it can help to find out if you are wanting food to fill other voids in your life, identifying those voids, and finding healthy alternatives to filling them. For example, if you eat out of boredom, find alternate activities to do instead of eating, such as rading a great book, crafting or another hobby, a nice bubble bath by candle light, etc...

For us to make it, we have to change our food tude. It takes a lot of work, but it is possible. once you are through the restrictive liquid part of things and can again begin to eat food, it will get a bit easier.

Wishing you an easier day tomorrow.
Hugs!
