Exercising at home
Hi All,
I had my surgery in Feb and have lost about 40 pounds so far, I'm VERY happy and doing pretty good w/ my eating program. I need to tweat it a little, but nothing much.
I as wondering if anyone had in GREAT home workouts. I usually walk at least 45 minutes a day and I go to the gym and work out on the weight machines whenever I can, but my legs are getting used to the routine and I need something new.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.
Smiles,
Nikki

I too am a huge fan of the Wii .. I like the active (thats the only one I have so far but plan to get the fit plus). It offers such a variety of things to do. The active offers tons of choices in itsself. I even love the boxing, or bag punching too, and let e tell you, no matter what exercise i pick, I feel the results. Also if you have a set of stairs in your home, try making trips up and down and up and down... Your legs will start to feel this, as it changes the resistance they work against. Then gradually increase how many trips up and down you make as you are ready to.
Congrats on the awesome success you are finding and enjoy your journey!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Hi Nikki, congrats on the wonderful loss. For exercise, now that spring is here and I can be outdoors, I emjoy dog walks best. Taking the stairs at work adds to the exercise. I do strength training a couple times a week. During the winter months, and we have several months of that here in northern MN, I go to the gym most days of the month. I have a Wii, still getting used to that and do not use it as often as I could.
Think of biking, roller skating, any exercise class, water walking, pool aerobics, rock climbing, bowling, dance. Thousands of other possibilities are out there as well. Have a great time checking out other ways. Hugs

Hi Nikki:
Congratulations on the weight loss. I use Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds dvd and Debra Mazda Shapely Girl Walking Fit and Fabulous dvd. Leslie Sansone's dvd has a two-mile high calorie burn (30 mins.) . Debra Mazda's Shapely-Girl dvd (52 mins.) has a fit and fabulous workout. I like using dvds because I can exercise at home when the weather is inclement and it's cost-effective. Have a fantastic day.
