Yep.. I am a quitter

Yesterday morning I smoked my last cigarette.  I have been smoke free for 34hours now.  WHOOT!!!! I am past my hardest part.. the first day.  Now I have to make it through tomorrow, they say day 3 is hard too.  I am drinking lots of water and crystal lite.
A while back I switched to caffine free/sugar free diet coke...My nutritionist wants me off soda totally.  I was down to two cans a day of that.. well now the diet coke tastes nasty, so I will be stopping that now too LOL
I am quitter on two major things for my surgery that can happen in as little as six weeks.. only a little over two weeks when I have my final nutritionist appt for authorization.. WHOOT!

Congratulations Kim!!!!!

I too am a quitter .. I quit smoking on January 4th .. I told myself that when i finished the carton, I wasnot going to buy any more and I didn't ..

What I did to get thru the urges was I made necklaces ... I make beaded necklaces and once I start making one i usually will finish  making it. I takes any where from 1 to 2 hours to make one and by the time i finished the urge to smoke was gone ..

My suggestion is if u have a craft that u enjoy doing to go and do that when ever the urge hits u..

hope it helps .. I was like a beading maniac for like a week after .. but once you get thru that period of time it goes alot easier

Thank you Jenn. Congrats on you quitting too
I have been keeping myself busy. Its amazing how much time you have on your hands when you are sitting down to have a cig.  LOL  And I think I picked a good time to quit since I host the holidays in the family.. I have a house to clean, shopping to do, and a ton of cooking as well.  I have kids in the house ranging from 24 down to 3 yrs old so there is never a dull moment. LOL
