I Don't Think my VSG is Helping Me

I totally feel your pain Ruthie. I did the same thing at 3 weeks and now at 8 weeks I'm stalling again. The loss seems so slow until I look at it closer and it helps to use the health tracker on here so that you can see that line on the graph going down, down, down, even when there are stalls along the way. Hang in there and try to stay off the scales for a few days if you can.
Like the others said, try your best to get in all you need so your body can burn the fat rather than trying to hold onto it for dear life. You WILL start to lose again and if you're like me, it'll average out to a good weekly loss even with your stalls.

Hugs, Rhonda

Hi Rhonda:

You've lost so much weight!  Congratulations!  That couldn've have been all since your surgery, is it?  It's wonderful to hear from all of you - to know that I am not the only one who stalls.  Although I shouldn't have, I did weigh in again this morning and the scale started moving again.  Thank God!

Ruthie,
You may be looking at my ticker wrong - it's 64.4 lbs TO GO! But I have lost about 38-39 lbs. in 8 weeks which is good when I make myself stop and think about it. I know it is very hard to stay off the scale. I have weighed daily for years, even when I hated what I saw. It is very frustrating when the scale is not moving. I tend to lose well for a couple of weeks and then stall for a week or two. Then it suddenly drops again and I start the whole cycle over again. I try not to let myself obsess over it and know that it will start moving again soon.

I"m glad you're moving in the right direction again. Hang in there,

Rhonda

Ruthie, we do all lose different, and the less we have to lose, the slower it comes off. How much you lose, is totally up to you gril! As time goes on you will have to work harder for the losses you get, but if you set your mind to it, you are going to get to where you need and want to be. I don't think 140 is unreasonable to expect with propper use of your tool, following the rules, and staying focused. You can do this! Yep yep and you will!
