Quiet around here, started before the weekend

Good Morning Bariatric Buddy group.  There has been some quiet times here, I am guilty too.  Amazing how our lives can get so busy.  I hope the lack of activity means that you are out and about, exercising and living your lives.  I have been out with the dogs everyday, except during rain.

Today, I have craft time planned, maybe even a little shoppping.  Starting off with a couple loads of laundry while I cut quilt squares.  What do you have planned for the weekend?  I will miss the coffee group that I attend when I can.  (I can only go on weekends off, due to work schedule)  Later on a dog walk and try to see if Dennis will go to a skating show that the local ice skating club is putting on.

Planning on meatballs for supper.  I will have mine with a little spaghetti sauce, adding the noodles for Dennis.  Enjoy your day everyone.  Have a source of protein, walk a bit.  Take your supplements and drink you fluids.   Hugs, Kathy

Good morning from me too. I, like you Kathy, am doing laundry, mine is only usually 2 loads a week lol. Mom and I do our own laundry and we take turns washing towels and dishrags etc.
I am drinking those shakes and eating my fruit like I am supposed to. Along with getting everything around here prepaired before my surgery next Monday.
I have my bag packed and ready for the trip to the hospital, all I have to pack is my CPAP, and I have to remember to get my extra pillow from my sisters. I hear it will come in handy.
After surgery I may get my quilting back out, I already have some squares cut. Last quilt I made was a quilt for Cloie, and she is 3 yrs old now, so it has been a while. Maybe I will make her some quilts for her dolls. I bet she would like that.
Well I am going to quit babbling now and go put my sheets in the dryer and go outside and see what needs to be done out there.
Thanks for the package Kathy, I am making use of the pants you sent, the shirts dont fit yet.
  Have a wonderful day!

Good morning to all!  The last couple of days have been a little hectic.  We went to the casino on Thursday and actually came home winners!  Yesterday I rode my new bike up to the bike shop and bought me a bunch of "doo-dads." I kind of made a joke to the owner while I was in there about 50 year old women getting streamers for their bikes.  He said most of them do.  Now I don't if that's the truth or he just said that to get me to spend more money, but I bought new grips and streamers to go with them!  I wasn't going to worry about a bell or a horn until some jerk almost ran me over backing out of a parking place so I did buy a bell; the lady said it was a new kind that is considered "politically correct."  I think the sound is a little too polite so we'll how it works the next time.  If not, I'm going to Walmart to buy one of the their disposable air horns!  LOL!  I also got a cup holder for water, extra reflectors and some really cool looking beads for the spokes.  When it comes to stuff like that, I'm like a little kid. I've been watching my husband "shop" for all kinds of stuff for the Harely for the last 2 years and I have learned from the *******OL!

Food has been pretty good the last couple of days.  I am finally down to 207.8.  Closing in on Onederland which is a place I haven't been too for over 20 years.  I took my mom out this morning to buy a new bedroom set.  I am cashing in my 401k and should have the money sometime this week.  The one thing we didn't do when we redecorated her room before she moved in was get new carpeting so I am going to buy that for her; I love to razz the heck out of her but she truly is a gem, even if she does still lecture me LOL!

I'm going through something a little weird right now with food.   I will feel vert hungry then stuffed after 2 or 3 bites.  I guess I shouldn't complain but it seems like I should have been going through this a few months ago.  I'm not complaining believe me.

The last thing I will share is my "WOW" moment of the day.  I had to stop at Walmart from some spray paint and we drink their sugar-free carbonated water.  I haven't been buying too much in the way of clothes but I confess to being one of those people who spend a lot of time in their jammies.  I went to buy a sleep shirt and the largest size they had in the one I wanted was a regular large which translates to a 14/18 in the new Walmart sizes.  I bought it thinking I would save it and wear it when it fit but when I got it home and tried it on it was perfect! That was a pretty good WOW moment for me today!

Well, I guess I'll quit babbling now.  To all of you who actually read my ramblings, bless your heart.
.
Lots of hugs for all,
Colleen

Have fun with you new dodads to the bike.  The water bottle holder and horn sound like needed items.  enjoy the streamers and beads.  Are you going to do like we did as kids and put playing cards in the spokes for noise?  I do read your ramblings and I am so glad that you are hear daily for sharing.

Colleen, you have me a little concerned.  Carbonated beverages, even carbonated water and soda pop are not good for our pouches.  Unless you let the carbonated water go completely flat before consuming, and that defeats the plan of carbonation.  Do take care of your precious pouch my friend.  Hugs

Thanks for the concern Kathy.  I don't really drink a lot of it myself, it's mostly for my husband.  When I do drink anything carbonated I drink it out of a glass with ice and that usually does a pretty good job of cutting down on the carbonation.  I have gotten to the point where I don't even order diet soda at a restaurant anymore because I can't drink all of it and it ends up going to waste.  Most of what I drink is coffee (which my surgeon doesn't have a problem with) and Crystal Light and Fruit2O.

I had forgotton all about the playing cards in the spokes until you mentioned it.  I even have clothes pins here!  I just might have to make another modification LOL!

Sorry I didn't say Good Morning this morning but day started out early as had to take DH to get a catscan of his head (looking to see if its empty)   No, really, needed pictures of his sinus cavities.  Then to Home Depot to get some more railing.  After we got home had another protein shake and then started clearing leaves and dead brush out of the gardens and the containers.
Getting pansies to plant next week.   DH is finishing taking down all the indorr hand rails and Monday I will take them to be cleaned, sanded, stripped whatever and restained.  by the end of the  month hope to have the house ready to put up for sale.  So Granddaughter is coming over in a few and will spend the night tonight.  tomorrow more cleaning etc.  Can't believe we lived in this house for 28 years but trying to declutter tells me we have.  Have a great weekend.
We must let go of what was if we are going to embrace what is !

Hi everybody. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's been beautiful here and I have been outside and busy all day. I am now exhausted but in a good way!

Exciting news all around Colleen. I remember the cards in the spokes thing too, that was fun. Like Kathy said, post a pic of your new wheels! And almost to Wonderland - that is fantastic. I can't wait to get there myself.

Linda, your surgery is coming up fast! It'll be over before you know it and you'll be on the loser's bench and working your way to your goal!

Enjoy your weekend all!

Rhonda
