today is quacky wacky day. yep, i go see my shrink every thursday at 11 am.  it gets old, but at times i really need to talk to him.  we have been dancing around the idea of me seeing him only every other week for quite a while. i think we are both afraid to try it.  i am not crazy, by the way. i suffer from reoccuring major clinical depression. i am in remission right now, but still have a degree of depression, anxiety and ptsd. did u know that a person who has gone through a bout of reoccurring major clinical depression has a 50% liklihood of having another bout in their life time. man i hope not, my last one lasted about 8 years and i almost died from it several times. trust me, looney bins are not fun.

taking two of our babies to the vet today. their shots are overdue, but things have been crazy around here. bad mommy!!!!!!  it is twoie our cat and mister our mixed rescued, severly abused dog.

we ordered some shrubs and perennials to put in. had calab come over and rototill the places for the flower bed and where our swimming pool is goin to go this summer.  need to level the ground for the for the pool.  decided even if the kids don't come over in july my husband and i want it up for ourselves.  i will not wear a bathing suit though. i have wrinkles all over my legs. i will wear a tight pair of exercise shorts. i am even wrinkled below the knees.  i asked the kids if they wanted to come over this year and they said yea!  i was afraid jayden wouldn't want to since he is getting so much older now (12).  makes me feel good.

took the kids to the zoo yesterday. took us 51 minutes to go through it. it is a small but growing zoo. funny, they just started charging to go through and i have never seen it so packed. good for them. they only charge 3 for adults, 2 seniors and 1 for kids 3-12 and 0 for below 3.  good deal. glad they are working to improve it (put in a lizard/snake house) and keep it open.

so what's up with you guys?  have any plans in particular?  i hope u all have a wonderful day. my the god of bm's bless you today. vick

Hey Vick! Good day to you!

So glad to hear you had a good time with the grand kids at the zoo. Yes.. that must be a small zoo, but I am sure it is still a very nice place to visit. maybe now with them charging to get in, they will be able to continue to grow.

I bought a really pretty bench for out front. It looks like it was made with a wagon wheel and some seats and such added to it. Hard to describe it, maybe I'll take a picture and post it here in a day or 2 or 3 or??? lol.
Sounds like you are off to a great start for your spring yard improvements. I am in the process of trying to decide what to do with our yard. The home is very nice, but the yard needs some major help. It is hard to decide what to do, as it is semi-desertous here, and hard to grow much without a ton of watering / irrigation. Looking at some xeroscape possibilities. I have tossed around the idea of a pool in back, but not sure I want all the work that goes with having one. I will definately be planting my tomato plants this year. Hoping I have great luck with them. Did ok last summer with the ones I had, until I went away for 6 days ... came back and they had been very neglcted by those who wer supposed to be caring for them.  :o(

Have a great appointment today! We are supposed to be in the 70's today, then tomorrow a high of 39 and rain. Blahhhhhhh...

Have a great day Vick and everyone else!

Kathy rest well!

I had a wonderful sleep, my eyes were too heavy this morning to write a real note.  Got in 5 hours earlier today, headed back for another couple of hours of sleep before night shift tonight.

Dennis and I took the dogs for a long walk after he got home from work.  Walked 6200 steps in the hour long walk.  I should put a pedometer on the dogs, they get sooooooo many more steps than I do, lol.

Lovely sunshine here today, got up to 55 degrees.  Great weather for being out and about.  The grass is starting to green up and my daylillies are starting to grow again.  Lots of muddy areas that will improve with a good rain shower.
There is a lot of junk appearing at the edges of the roads and paths, now that the snow that was hiding it is gone.  Ughhhh spring cleanup time.  the flock of sea gulls landed on the frozen lake yesterday, ducks and geese returning.  The ducks and geese are going through nesting processes.  Don't look Ethel.....  The lake ice is turning that hazy black color that signifies baaaaaad ice.  I saw pics in the local paper of souls still out on the larger lakes for ice fishing, glad I am not the one to haul them ashore if they go through.  Dedicated fisher folks.  I get my fish already cleaned and ready to cook, or even better, someone else cooks it.

Keep up with your shrink Vick, I don't want to see you down in the dumps.  That is not the place to be, your life is crazy busy at times.  Take care of yourself.  Glad you had fun with the grandkids.  Hugs my friend.

Hi Vicki, thanks for your honest discussion. I went to see my quack today (just a therapist though) - I too have suffered with depression, I am currently attempting to get to the bottom of my overeating. only my second week though, so I will see how we do,
