Having a bad day

I work at a place we always have food in the break room....donuts, bagles, cookies, brownies and since I have had surgery and told my coworkers they have been really supportive.  Let people know that pasta makes you sick and that should shut them up.    If they know that it makes you feel sick most people won't pressure you to eat or think anything of you for not joining in.

That wasn't whining, that was a real thing you had to deal with today.  I whine all the time and they still haven't kicked me out yet so don't worry about it.  But I do definitely understand about feeling left out.

My mom and I went on a senior trip to one of the casinos here in Michigan.  It was actually a very profitable day for both of us!  The only real "bummer" about the trip was the food.  They have an outstanding buffet but it didn't seem logical to pay full price for a buffet that I could only have a few bites of so we went to one of the smaller restaurants in the casino.  My mom and I split an order of Maryland crab cakes and also a prime rib sandwich.  For the first time since my surgery I was actually ok with not being able to eat.  My mom and I split it and I could only eat about half of my half.  I've also been able to drink loads more water than normal so that is helping too.  I think that having a name for this condition I've been dealing with has really helped and I don't feel like a crazy lady, making things up anymore.
