It is 7:00 a.m. and I have my bathing suit on and heading for the Y to swim laps.  Got to get my  protein drink first (always helps to have protein, both before and after exercising).  Then at 11:00 a manicure.  Come home and pack u p more stuff(decluttering).  Then at 7:00 p.m. a support group meeting.  Tomorrow is my last appt. with my surgeon's office prior to surgery.  Hopefully will have a date sometime tomorrow.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Boy, YOU are full of energy!! LOL It's 1 pm here and I'm still trying to put the pieces of me together! I've been on the computer all morning playing games, reading OH posts and surfing a bit. Now, my stomach tells me it's time for lunch. Later I have to arrange an appointment with my surgeon, do something about dinner and... um... I'll figure the rest out as I go along. Have a geat day everyone!

 Good Morning :)
I have no idea what is in store for me today.. think I will be flying through by the seat of my pants LOL

I spent the weekend "spring cleaning" and painting, now my body hurts.. I hate getting old LOL

I care for my 3 yr old grandson (My absolute pride and joy and perfect angel) everyday, so even though I have nothing planned, he always has a plan for "gammamma" LOL

I hope the sun is shining and you have a great day

*HUGS*

This morning, It's off to take my husband to the community college in a neighboring community for his computer class. Its amazing the programs they come out with. His class is designed to allow the blind and visually impaired to use word processing programs, email and some other computer programs. He's getting the hang of it!

While her is in class, I am going to show my daughter where our local "Sav-A-Lot" grocery store is, and where the beauty college is. Not sure right now what else. He is in class for 2 hours. Then when i get home, I have a call to see to, and a few bills to get paid and a couple of packages to get ready and send out. I slept little last night, so will probably need a nap at some point...then will be at chat this evening. Hope to see many of you there this evening!

Patrice, I think it is absolutely wonderful that the community college has these classes.  I was not aware of any classes like this.  My mother has macular degeneration, and I know that that is a possiblitiy in my future.  Is that the problem for your DH?  I hope he does well and finds a lot of joy with his classes.  I know he has a wonderful wife.  Hang in there.

Hey Janet! So sorry about your mothers Macular degeneration. My grandmother had that, and cataracts as well. she had the cataract laser surgery when it was almost brand new, and her lenses were scarred due to burning from the laser, so it took her from driving herself to legally blind in one day. The burns took all forward vision rifht away, leaving her only with some peripheral. Thats tough to go through, my heart is with your Mother.

My husband was blinded in a construction collapse when he was working. he was crushed head to toe. NO ONE thought he'd ever survive. He did thanfully, but is now in constant pain, depression and is totally blind. He had over 100 factures in his face alone, multiple internal and life threatening injuries, fractured both wrists and crushed the base of both thumbs, and broke his right leg so badly it all but amputated itsself. This occurred just over 2 1/2 years ago. . we still work hard to adjust to life after this tragedy.  It has changed life so much for us, and still no real sense of narmalcy, but we are trying Day by day.....

Thanks for the sweet compliment. I try to be a good wife to him and to support him and cheer him up and keep him as  happy as posible. Just wish I knew how to help him move forward easier. I'd give him an eye now, if they could figure out how to make it work!
