Bariatric Buddy
Tomorrow is my big day!
Well.. after 6 months of waiting and 2 weeks of a liquid diet... tomorrow is my day!
Boy am I nervous! but I have to keep thinking about the good things that will happen to me.
I am mainly nervous about the possibility of being a "puker", but from what my dr. tells me it's all a matter of compliance to the program (or mostly!).
I am prepared as I can be.. I think. I have bought a food scale, liquid measuring cup (by the ounce) and containers that hold 2.5oz.
I have all my vitamins and plenty of protein.
I have to be at the hospital at 6 am tomorrow morning with surgery at 7:30.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing ASAP.
Colleen

The only time i vomitted was right after surgery when i had a lot of nausea. They medicated me right away and it stopped. I had a few bouts of nausea right after surgery, so if you feel the slightest hint of it, let the know so they can medicate you for it. The other time i got sick, was when i took a pain pill after being home. It just did NOT sit well at all! After that I only took tylenol..lol.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a quick and uneventful recovery, and can't wait to hear from you when you are able to update us!
walk sip rest...If water does not sit well (it didn't with me the first couple of weeks) try sugar free popsicles. They saved me! And the cold felt sooo good on my irritated throat. Crystal light sat well too when it wanted to.
