Bariatric Buddy

Tired tonight

Good evening to all.  I stopped by the chatroom and just didn't have the energy to be "chatty" tonight, so I left and came here to babble a bit before I go to bed.

I didn't start the day off very good; I had vomitted last night and still wasn't feeling right.  I had some soup and crackers and that helped enough for me to get in the shower, dressed, and out the door to go to my quilting class this afternoon.  I'm pretty tired (no nap today) but I do feel loads better than I did yesterday.  I go to my PCP tomorrow to have him fill out paperwork for my disability benefits.  Now that I have two more things that I have been diagnosed with I don't see how they can turn me down, but who knows.  I'm just very grateful that money isn't an issue for me.

I started on bariatric vitamins that I can swallow as opposed to chew so I'm already feeling better about sticking to my program.  I am really bad about drinking my shakes but nothing was said about my protein levels.  That is something else I'm going to talk to the doctor about tomorrow.

I hope you all have a great evening; I can hardly keep my eyes open so I'm going to bed.

Ohhh vomitting after WLS is about the most miserable feeling.. and usually the next day the pouch is NOT happy at all. Hoping this is over for you!
I am glad the swallow type supplements are better for you. I tried them and I can't stand em. They are hard for me to get down. So I prefer the chewable. My daughter likes the swallow kind too. I am guessing you are taking BB (building blocks) brand? Thats where i get my daughters and mine from.
Good luck on your disability approval. they really make you fight for it.
Sleep well!

colleen, they usually turn you down for disability the first time. at least they have most the people i know and they did me.  i found out which judge would handle my appeal aand i  wrote him a letter explaining my past and what i was going through now.  he approved me.  i don't know if the letter helped at all, but i tend to think it did.  so be sure and appeal if they turn you down.  it is nothing personal it just seems to be standard operating procedure.  don't fret about it either, usually you will get it on the second or third appeal.  hang in there. vick

Good luck Colleen. You may be one of the lucky ones who get approved the first time. Glad the new vitamins are working out better. My doc's advise is nothing but liquid or chewable for the first year because he thinks it's easier to absorb more than when swallowing for WLS pts. They are all so different, aren't they?! Take care and get some rest.
