today i am going to try and draw a flamingo dancer.  it will be a  huge picture for me.  i was going to yesterday but i wound up sleeping most of the day.  i drew it the other day, but i used to small a piece of pastel paper and she was off, legs too short.  wish me luck.

i also have to get in there and clean the damn kitchen.  sometimes i let it get out of hand and this is one of those times. i didn't feel like doing squat yesterday so i just rinsed the dishes and left them in the sink.  i didn't even clean the stove after making a stew.  shame on me.

how are you all doing?  do u have any special plans for today. any special recipes you want to share for us protein challenged people?  any special way to get in all the liquids you need?  how about the fiber you need, anything up there?

hope u all have a great day today and have a wonderfjul bowel movement.

vick

With your mention of flamingo, I got a mental image of two dancers doing the flamingo.  The image stopped short of a scene, just a snapshot in time, mid dance step.  I want to see the results when you are done.

I am contemplating getting dressed and getting some fresh air, yes, with the dogs along.  Dennis did some of the dishes while I slept this morning.  Kitchen starting to look a little better.  Dealing with the constant sand that comes in on our shoes and the dogs feet.  I like to walk around the house bare footed, kind of gritty, even with sweeping a couple of times a day.  This too will pass, like slow bowels.  hehehehe

Last time I was at my dad's place, I brought back a little of mom's stash of fabric from his basement.  Sending loads of the fabric through the washer to freshen the smell, reminds me of basement odor right now.  Amazing what a washing does for it.

I brought a salad to work last night, lettuce with left over roast beef sliced thin, added soy nuts, shredded cheese and a light ranch, nummmmm.  Cottage cheese and pineapple for breakfast.  Still wondering about the rest of the day, protein of some sort.  catch up with everyone later at chat.  Hugs

Hey Ladies! Vick.. good luck with your flamingo dancer... you'll get it! You do such nice work!

No running barefooted around the house for me! I am in a mose of freezation! I am sure it is due to fever from the strp. Even when I take tylenol, it just knocks it down to about 99 or so. But at least then, I am not freezing to death! Woke up at 1 am this morning with a fever of 103.8.. Talk about teeth chattering! they really were. When i got up again later this morning, fever is not nearly as high. So, hopefully The antibiotics are kicking in and I am on the mend. Still feel like death warmed over.

Hope you all have a great day. Me? I am going to go try to get in some soup and get some more rest..   OH YEAHHHH... I did have a great BM Vick...lol.. you are so funny!

hope u get to feeling wonderful in no time at all. strep throat is nothing to play around with. i had it when i was a teenager and they had to put me in the hospital to get me to slow down. they said you could get rheumatic fever if you didn't rest good and were to active. don't know if that is considered true today (it was a hell of a long time ago).  take care. vick

Yep.. Rheumatic fever, leading to rheumatic heart disease.  But if I recall right, the risk of this is much higher in children and teens, but it happens especially if asprin products are used during the strep episode. This is why we can not seem to find asper-gum anymore. Too many parents used it to help relieve thier kids sore throats and it caused more problems. I remember my grandma giving it to me as a child.

I have had strep so many many times. It alway****s me super fast and hard, and I usually have no choice but to sleep most all day and night. I have had it so much, I know what itis the second just the slightest twinge of sorenes****s. And from the time that hits to the time I can hardly swallow is usually way less than 24 hours.

Yesterday I slept all day until 6 pm, other than for an hour in the afternoon. Then was up until 10.. lay there sleepless for an hour or so, then woke again at 2 am. Here i am, but only for a bit, then back off to bed. I am really getting a back ache from so much time in bed.

I feel like I am beginning to improve. Not getting the high fever anymore, just low grade, so thats encouraging. Thanks for your well wishes!
Hugs!

Hey gal.. you are up early too!
No they haven't said why, guess i am just very susceptable to it. I actually feel very lucky that I have not had it in almost 5 years until now.. usually it is at least once a year.. maybe I am beginning to outgrow it a bit??   I was actually exposed to it by my son 2 weeks before I went to mexico... I really lucked out by not getting it then. The kids and his wife did not get it either, nor did my husband.  I was nervous tho when i found out my son had it, as he was here just a couple days before the symptoms started, and I seem to catch it so easily..

Then just a week ago Yesterday my granddaughter came down with it. I was with her 2 days before she was diagnosed. I'm thinking thats where it came from. HER... I'll forgive.. lol Ahhhhhhhhhh love that little lady!
