HELP I AM DOOMED
HELP
I have never been a fan of binging and purging and I don’t think I am doing it on purpose
I am not trying to make myself throw up
I mean I do not drink ipecac or stick my fingers down my throat
Here is what has happened over the last 3 weeks I have thrown up my dinner 4 times one time I think it was due to stress in my life following valentines weekend the other 3 times I have known that eating too much at dinner was taken out to a steak house had steak, potato with the works, salad, corn bread, chocolate cake and soda ( I have given up on soda but had 3 glasses) so it may have been too much sugar in my system
It was about 1-2 hours after eating that I started to throw up
I am waiting for wls and trying to eat better.
The next time it was a night a red lobster love the cheddar biscuits
I did not think i ate that much
And again about an hour or so I started to throw up
And the last time was I was having a bad day and I ate a pound of wings and a pound of potato skins again about an hour latter everything came up
I know that I am eating wrong on the last ok one but I thought that I was doing ok at the other two
Not a problem at other times no throwing up, no bowel problems
I have a mental health appointment on Monday to talk about the events that have happened in my life since Valentine’s Day
Thank you for letting me vent

you need to start keeping a log of all the things you eat and what happens, i.e. throwing up, diarrhea, etc. also, contact your doc and let him/her know what is going on. it sounds like you are really eating a lot, even when you don't realize you are, that is why i recommend the log. hang in there you will get better. let me know if i can do anything else. vick

Good idea. Please let me know if you end up pinpointing it.. meanwhile, try to keep up the good fight against the food. I KNOW it can be so very hard.. each moment we can just try our best. None of us are perfect for sure, we just have to move forward and try again.

This eating pattern is hard on your body Mark. Log your emotions, activity and food like Vick recommended. Keep your appountment for mental health and work with the therapist to decipher what is happening in your life. You are making decisions that will affect your health. You are important and please be kind to your body.
Aside from the emotional and physical effects of overeating after you have been trying to change your food habits, could it possibly be an actual physical problem, maybe your gallbladder? Those high fat foods can really be a trigger, even healthy foods like salad can really trigger it. Did you have any other symptoms at the time? Whatever it is, let your doc know and if it continues to happen they definitely need to find out the cause behind it. Hope your appt helps you feel better about things. Hang in there and keep posting!
