what's up guys

today is thursday and that is shrink day. i am lucky in that my shrink provides therapy on a weekly basis and my medications. that way he can see the progress i am making.  he says i am having situational depression right now, but i can handle that.  meds don't really work on me that well. he went through 8 years trying to find something that would work when i was in a major clinical reoccurring depression.  boy was that badddddddddd......  it is soooooooo much better now and i am so grateful for that,.

my hubby felt really bad yesterday. worse yet, he was really depressed, it is starting to get to him.  i certainly hope his doc from denver calls real soon. he is supposed to compare cat scans of his spleen.  as it is he want to wait until april to see him in denver.  this just isn't right. told my husband that if something happened to him, i smell a lawsuit coming.

my babies are getting spring fever. they want to romp in something besides snow and brown grass.  hell, i'm getting spring fever.  i can't wait for the buds on the trees to open up etc, etc, etc.it will be in the 60's here for this week but the wind will be 30-60 mph starting friday.

i have my permanent bridge put in today.  i sure hope they are comfortable, i have never had one.  this thing is costing 2600, is that about right?

my cat is sitting on the table waiting to eat.  chow time is 10 am around here for the babies. sometimes it drives them crazy.

i sent a msg to the plastic surgeon, a dr. saucedo in monterey, mexico about getting my boobs done. i would also like a face lift. don't know if i will get it done, but i sure would like to.

how about all you guys, what's up.  do u think spring will be sprung pretty soon. our weatherman says we have some more snow on the way. we get some of our best blizzards in march.  another 11 inches would be great. but let's just get it over with.

how do u feel about life in general.  do u think that we are our neighbors keepers. i do. we owe it to each other to care and do for the other. lot of people these days don't feel that way, but i do.

i finished a picture yesterday. i think i will have it framed and enter it into a show here we are having in march.  i will post a picture of it asap.

are you all taking good care of yourselves?  i know u probably get tired of hearing about protein, supplements, water, exercise and bowel movements..  please get some bariatric vitamins and take them like u are supposed to. your brain, nerves and so much more depends upon taking a good quality supplement.  please don't take an ordinary  vitamin and call it good.  and if u are a while out, don't think u can get by without them.  this is a lifelong proposal here.

i am having to double up on my  iron again so i am doubling up on my benefiber. bottle says take three times a day so i am going to try that. i really don't want to have to start taking iron infusions.

HOPE U ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY.  I CARE ABOUT ALL OF YOU SO MUCH.  HUGS, VICK

You have a lot going on Vick, I worked my first of my night shifts for the week.  Kept busy, the night went by quickly.  Read a little in a diabetes magazine that I get, diabetic forecast.  There was an article on wls, didn't get a chance to finish the article yet.  Left the mag in my locker to finish later this week/weekend.

Had cottage cheese and fruit for breakfast, headed to bed next.  I got outdoors the last 2 days for dog walks, what a difference in my outlook from some fresh air and sunshine.  My cheeks don't look as pale either.  (facial cheeks Vick, for real  !!!)  Haven't checked out the saggy lower set.  Ignorance is bliss.

Have a blessed thursday, catch up with everyone after a good chunk of sleep.  Hugs

Hey Vick Glad you like your Psych Dr. Sounds like he is a good one! rarely do they take the time to do the terapy end of things too.

So sorry about your hubby. I hope denver gets back to you soon and can get him in sooner. April is still a month off, or even more if it is the end of April.

Looking very forward to seeing your painting! Wishing you the best of luck in the show. You do good work gal!

Good luck in getting your iron level up and still being able to have a BM. Keep a good watch on yourself in that area, can be miserable if it gets too backed up. I have been fighting to keep things moving since my PS. And speaking of PS...keep us posted on what you find out from Dr. S. Wishing you luck there too. I hope you can do what you want to have done and be very happy with the results. he's a great  guy. There is a group here on OH for patients of Dr. S. You may want to go check out that group. Lots of great info there. Good people too.

Now as for me, well I am taking it one day at a time, getting a bit better each day. Still getting tired easily and need a long nap each day. Yesterday went for a little walk. Hoping to do so again today. Still have some swelling, but thats normal and to be expected. Getting very tired of the compression garments, but I know they are important, so I wear em like I am supposed to. In a few more days i am going to be going to a stage 2 garment, which doesn't squash you quite as much as the stage one garments.

I struggle to get in enough food and protein, as the garments are so tight, after the smallest amount I have to stop. I feel stuffed! Maybe these things would be a good tool for weight loss for those who haven't had WLS???!!!??? lol.

You hang in there my friend! Hugs and love coming your way!

I'll tell ya.. we could be on to something.. lol..  I have to say tho, NO ONE would wear them like they'd have to for that to work, unless they had to due to this PS.. they are that uncomfortable, especially toward the end of the day when the swelling is up.

When do you have a day off again Dear Kathy?
