How about a little cheese with whine!

Hi everybody.  Just to pre-warn you, I'm whining today.

It's been one of those days again.  I got motivated early and went to the gym.  I spend 20 minutes on the bike and then hit almost every piece of equipment they have, 25 reps with 25 pounds on most, some at 40 pounds, and abdominal machine 40 pounds at 100 reps (60 front and 20 each side).  I had a good work out and had just finished up.  I was getting off the machine and started feeling dizzy, by the time I made it to the desk I had almost passed out.  Thank goodness one of the girls saw me get ready to fall over and yelled for help.  They got me into a chair, put an ice pack on my head and a cold, wet towel around my neck.  I sat for a few minutes until I felt better.  I felt so stupid but they were great and said it happens quite a bit.  I don't know how much of it is the vertigo or if I'm pushing myself too hard on some things because I'm so out of shape.

Then, knowing full well what the consequences would most likely be, I ate half a toasted bagel and ended up vomiting.  Will I ever learn?  Dinner will be some nice, soothing chicken broth and a few saltines.

On the upside, I will finally be able to start my new medication for the ADD tomorrow.  I had to have prior authorization because this particular med is typically prescribed for younger people so anybody over 20 has to have it authorized first.

Also wanted to let you all know about a protein bar I found called "Oh Yeah"  I bought two of them to try and the one I had for breakfast was great.  They are 190 calories, but only 4 grams of sugar and 15 grams of protein and it actually tasted very good; it was Vanilla, Toffee, Fudge.

That's all from me.  I hope you all had a great day.

Waiting for the whining to start. Take it easy with all the exercise next time. Are you drinking fluids while exerciseing?

Well, the cheese and whine topic got my attention - and made me hungry!  lol

Honestly, there's no whining there that I can see.  You were pumped at the gym and maybe overdid it a bit, I'm very glad the staff was observant and responsive!  Good luck with the new meds, I hope they give you some relief and help you feel better.

Thanks for the tip on the "oh yeah" bars - where did you find them, in a store or online?  I wouldn't be able to have them yet, but in a few weeks they might come in handy!

Have a great evening Colleen, and if you need to whine I can bring the cheese for you!

Colleen, like kathy asked, are you drinking during your workouts? If not.. start doing that. It is important! Also one more tip...you may not like it, and don't get mad at me but you would be better off to leave the crackers out of dinner. Saltines are slider foods. No real nutritional value and can trigger carb cravings. Now if you really want crackers, a whole grain alternative is a great choice. Just trying to help, wasn't sure if you were aware of this or not.
Glad the folks at the gym were on thier toes. Hugs to you!

Glad I wasn't the only one whining yesterday.  Hope you feel better today.  Hang in there.  Maybe not so much exercising at one time.  Space it out through the day or work on weight training one day and walking/biking the next.  Concur with others - lots of fluid.

Don't think I can try the Oh Yeah bars yet - too soon.  I'm only 5 weeks out.  Especially with my "sensitive tummy" right now.
