I know how you feel.  I am scheduled for surgery 2 days after you.  I still need to quit smoking.  I am leaving for Guatemala this week on a medical mission so plan on quiting then.  I have done so much research my head is spinning but at least I feel like I'm well informed.

It will be here before we know it.

Your month will fly by toooooo Shari.  Have the best possible time during your mission.  Doing for others is good for the soul.  You can do the quitting too.  Take care, hugs

Congrats on your date and for quitting smoking. I am sure that was not an easy thing to do but so much better for your health. I am 4-5 months out and having a hard time getting prepared and loosing some pre-op weight. Good luck with everything, I'm sure you'll do great!

I'm so happy for you that your wait is almost over.  I stocked up on a lot of stuff only to find that my tastes changed so much after surgery I couldn't stand the protein and broth that I bought!

I also had to quit smoking for the surgery and I'm glad I did.  Hang in there.  I'm 7 months smoke free and still can't get over how much better I feel.  You will be glad you quit.

Good luck!
