Guayas:  Way to go.  I love stories like yours, they give me so much hope!  I have slammed into my 2-week plateau... I have heard people talk about it before, but kinda forgot about it.  I was loving getting on the scale each morning, but for the last 3 days it has been less than pleasant!  Just when I started exercising, too.  I have been faithfully and honestly measuring and recording my food intake, so I know it's just my body reacting to everything I have put it through in the past few weeks.  It still sucks though, even if I know it's normal!

Congrats on going back to Curves.  I have a Curves close enough to here for me to walk to, but it costs more than twice as much as my gym membership.  If the cost was lower I'd have joined there in a heartbeat.  Just make sure you use that membership - maybe we should check in on each other periodically, and give each other a swift kick as needed!

I feel for you as far as the snow goes.  We've had a lot here, in fact we drove through one of the big snow storms to get me to the hospital.  But it pales in comparison with everything you've had!  I hope you're all warm and safe.

Take care!!

Hi Darlene!  Yes, those plateaus suck.  I have had two major ones...one at three weeks and one at three months.  In the beginning, I was only weighing myself when I went to the doctor's so I really didn't notice too much.  I don't even own a scale, and I think that the less than frequent weighing in worked in my favor.  But then I got a Wii Fit Plus and it has a scale as part of the Body Test.  So, now I can weigh myself whenever I want, but I am really trying just to weigh in once a week.  I think that will work better for me than daily weighing, better in terms of my emotional state!  LOL!!

Deal about the checking in with each other periodically!  I know I will need some swift kicking.  haha...  I can always blame the snow...I joined on Thursday, and then Curves was closed Friday and Saturday, along with many other local businesses, due to the snow.  So, hopefully I can get there tomorrow....if it is open, that is.  :)

Keep on keeping on, Darlene!  You worked hard to get here....just know, it all will work as long as we work it.  And it will be so worth it in the long run.  The short run can be frustrating but the long run is going to be amazing!!!
