Wednesday - what's up everyone?

Afternoon everyone.  I have been having an odd day.  Home from work, just flat mood.  Visited with Dennis for a while, thought about heading to the gym since I was not tired.  Grabbed a greek yogurt for protein.  The sleepy feeling arrived and I needed a nap instead of exercise after my yogurt.  I followed my eyelids for a nice sleep time.  Woke up knowing that I needed to go to the gym and having absolutely no ambition to actually get up there.  I sucked up the lack of ambition, went with Dennis to the gym to pretend that I wanted to be there, knowing full well, that I would feel better after some cardio time.  After 10 minutes, I still wanted to stop.  Dennis had programmed 30 minutes onto his treadmill.  I turned up the tunes a little, tried to take my mind away from the exercise.  By the time 20 minutes had passes, I was finally done wishing that I hadn't come, the last 10 minutes went by quickly.  Usually the lack of energy leaves more quickly when I go to the gym on days like this.  I am glad that I sucked up the energy and went.

Just had a small lettuce salad with cubed ham and cheese.  Now I am feeling closer to normal.  Tonight is my 10th night shift in a row, could be part of the tired feeling today.  Guess I will head off for the rest of my sleep time to prep for work tonight.  Enjoy your evenings.  Hugs

 Hi Kathy,

Feelin' a bit funky myself.  Had my 2-week follow-up today, and things are progressing well.  I'm on soft / pureed now - yay!  But the first thing I tried, a little imitation lobster with some low fat mayo and lemon pepper, was just.... neehh.  Going for some refried beans tomorrow, and will probably cook up some eggs and make some deviled eggs.  I know I'll only get one or two, but that's fine.

But yeah, even the doctor noticed that I was a bit "off".  I've been busy the last couple of days, and the weight loss and the surgery and everything else, he said it would be normal to have days where I'm just fatigued.

Sounds like you could use a day or 2 to get rested and refreshed.  Hope you have a break coming soon!

No wonder your feeling off....10 night shifts in a row!  That's horrible.  Night shift is so hard on your body, mind & spirit.  Take good care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.  Lori

10 nights in a row?  No wonder you are feeling a little off.  I'd be ready to kill someone by now.  I hope you get a couple of days off soon.  The extra money is always nice but you have to take care of yourself too.

Hang in there.
