Had a good Thursday
Well I want start by saying, I just stepped on the scale and it read 220.6 .. wooo hooo 4 more pounds in 6 days :-) SWEET! Another break through, I was able to put on 16 pants, and they were kinda big went to Wal*Mart today but was to scared to try on size 14 pants. I will wear my 16s for a few more days or weeks, Which ever comes first. I did by a new belt tonight, used to buy 2XL belts, got to buy a regular XL belt, made me feel good. I haven't tried any new shirts on. i am sure I am down from 2XL to a XL. Need to try that and see how it works.
Just had a really good day today, went and spoiled myself, got my nails done, went shopping bought a new pair of sweatpants, note size M!!!! Woo hoo!! And a new pair of shoes for work. Went and got my new drivers license. Had to get a new picture, the one on my old license looked nothing like me. And in a few months, it again will not look anything like me. Then went with a friend to the gym, first time since my surgery. Did a 30 minute walk, adjusting the incline and speed trying to work myself. After my 30 minute walk I rode on the bike for about 10 minutes, but I started feeling really funny so I decided it was enough I pushed myself all I could for the day. I work nights this weekend, and sadly have a funeral Saturday so i don't know if I will make the gym this weekend, will defiantly go Monday after noon before we get more snow (BOOOOOO so sick of snow!) and will try to go every other day, also I found 2 classes I would like to take, deep water aerobics, and body sculpting class which looks really fun, and not to hard to do.
I have been debating about going tanning (aka, fake baking, as i call it) But at 6 weeks post op wasn't sure what to do. I talked to one of my bypass buddies, and she recommended using suntan lotion on my incisions and thinks things will be ok, what do you all think? Maybe I should call the doctor see if it is ok to go tanning.
I am loving the new me. and happy with the way my life is going.
OH also on a side note, today my husband and I decided to book a cruise with a few friends for June. It is a 4 day cruise out of NY city to Canada. I am looking forward to going shopping to get things for the cruise. And have a good time. I have never been on a cruise. This will be a grand time.
Ok enough babbling .. Im off to bed .. hope everyone is doing well.
Take care

I forgot to mention that I FINALLY found a protein drink that I really really like, I go to Starbucks once a day and get a chocolate banana Vivian smoothie, I think thats the correct name, small lite on the syrup extra protein and it is soooo good. One of my bypass buddies brought me one to work and it was great to try, i think i am finally getting enough protein in my system everyday, between eating and drinking a shake.
OK bedtime ...

Melissa, you are doing great!!! I can't wait to follow in your footsteps and be down enough that I can tell a difference. I went for my 2 week checkup (actually 11 days) and had lost 17 lbs which I am very happy with but can't wait for a significant amount like 39.4 lbs!!! Keep up the good work!
