Hi, I am 6 1/2 weeks out from Rouen-Y surgery and doing fine.  When will my appetite return and when will I be able to eat a larger amount of food at a setting?  Thanks, Cathy

Cathy, enjoy the lack of appetite and being content with the small portions.  Use this time to get into the good habits of small high protein meals.  Your appetite will return one day and you will need the habits to support your new healthy lifestyle.

I wish I had no appetite now.  I can eat more than I should, and do every once in a while, the weight stall has lasted too long for me.   I need to wrap my mind around what I am doing wrong.  I admit that I am human and have human shortcomings.  I find that at times I nibble between meals, yes I do.

Now I need to put my foot down and just plain stop it.  There had my talking too.  Thanks for helping me Cathy, Kathy

Kathy,

I commend you for hanging in tough.  I know how long you've been stalled and you'd really never notice it by your postings / good advice you give everyone.

Here's to you Kathy!

I agree with Kathy; ride this period as long as you can.  I had this surgery to decrease my appetite and the amount of food I can eat.  I certainly don't want to go back to the way things were.

Thanks for the note.  I am realizing that even small amounts of carbs or fats make a HUGE difference.  Protein, protein, protein and water, water water are my friends.  Thanks, Cathy
