Keeping Hydrated....

Hi all - I'm having a sleeve on 9th March and am wondering how you manage to drink enough fluids to keep you hydrated.  I live in Dubai and drink at least 2-3 litres of water per day (often 1/2 litre at a go) at the moment and this increases as it gets hotter.

So my question is how do you keep yourself hydrated both day-to-day and during exercise for those of you who are working out in the gym.

Thanks so much

Debbie

Have water with you everywhere you go and sip, sip, sip, all day long.

Debbie, like the others said, sipping/drinking except during and for 30 minutes after eating.  I take a water bottle to the gym with me and sip while workingf out.  I usually get in about 20 oz during a 30-60 minute work out.  I am 5.5 months out from surgery and can drink a little more water at once without difficulty.  My pouch does not like ice cold water, room temp or cool seems to be tolerated best.

Thank you - this is the bit I am worried about most - even in the winter it's 25/26 C - and in the summer that rises to 45 C plus so I always have water with me now and gulp not sip.

I will have to learn to drink like a lady !!

Yep Debbie, you will definately have to leanr how to sip. That first gulp you accidentally take will be a killer! I also foubnd sugar free popsicles to be a big help in getting in liquids early post-op as well as flavor.. which I craved badly.Best of luck to you!
