thanks everyone,  for  the support and encourgement. i am up drinking my protein supplement and taking all my meds. walking around sipping trying to release more of this gas. the more i walk the better it gets. im drinking nuwhey protein supplement , i went and got mostly grape, but should have gotten mostly fruit punch . the grape is a bit overpowering. but you live you learn. i just weighed also , and i am down 3 lbs since surgery . isnt that great. thats 2 days ago. should have lost because they took out 80% of my stomach huh!!!

Congratulations!  I had my surgery on Wednesday and made it home Friday. I had pain under my diaphragm from gas build up and once I stopped taking the morphine, I had a splitting headache.... today I'm relaxing at home, how are things going with you?

I have a 5 and a 2 y.o, at home so it is difficult to not want to pick the children but they are adapting to mommies "boo boo" ....

congratulations to you also! i bet it is hard not picking that 2 y,o for sure. mine are older 6, 14 and 9 . they are  being a big support to their mommy. my husband also has been great.  i am trying to keep walking .and trying to ween myself off the pain meds. the more i walk the less sore and less gas. im drinking plenty of water. started taking my multivitamin and the prevacid.also . my left side has a bigger scar that hurts the most . especially when i get up and down. hope you stay in touch , sounds like we are recovering and starting our wl journey together.

Congrats Mary, sliding my hinder over to make room for you here on the loser's bench.  So glad that this bench is slippery and splinter free.  Follow your MD's plan, this is the start of something good.  Hugs
