Hello everybody.

I had a pretty good day today.  Up and out early to get to the gym.  Got a decent work out in, came home and hit the shower and then back out for my quilting class.

I am not big on change.  The gym I worked out at this morning is the same company as the one closer to home, but woman's days are opposite of my regular gym.  In other words, I can work out every day, alternating between the two locations.  It took me a month to get up the courage to go in there.  I'm one of those people who are difficult to get to know because I'm afraid of meeting new people, but once I know you a) I don't shut up and b) I'm one of the most loyal people on the planet.  Doing something as simple as going into that gym this morning was a major milestone for me.

My food was very good today.  Egg beaters for breakfast and a grilled fish fillet for lunch.  Dinner will be some chicken broth and a few saltines.  I lost another pound and half.  I'm still weighing everyday and am learning to live with flucuations and not getting disappointed if the scale doesn't say what I want it to.  But I need to keep good track of myself and this is one of the ways I do that.  In my other group they call it being a "scale ho."

Not sure if I'll make it to the chat room tonight; I got up way too early this morning and have been yawning for the last 2 hours!  I hope you all have a great meeting.

Afternoon Colleen, Just got back from the gym. Decided to alter the program I am using on the treadmill. Went with a total calories burned program, set in 500 cal as the goal, 3.4 mph for the speed and adjusted the incline up and down to challenge myself and see how quickly I could burn those calories. I got the job done in 52 minutes. I walked alongside the olympic snowboarders. Well, that was what was on the TV anyway. I feel good now that I am home and showered.

I will miss chat tonight too, local wls support group for me. Hope you can make it for a bit to chat with Vick. Take care. I am glad to hear that your days are getting better.

That is a good idea to put a calorie count as your goal and just stick to it until you get there.  I always use a time.  I am going to try this instead!
