Thursday - any plans???

Good morning to everyone.  I am freshly home from work, just finished getting puppy love from the dogs.  They show abandunt affection.

I don't have much new to discuss this morning.  Posted the lastest I know about Patrece in another thread.  It is great to see all the positive support this group is sending her way.  My plans for the day start with a good chunk of time sleeping.  Last schedule shift for the week is tonight.  I am losing track of what day it is.  Not unusual for me as a night shift worker.  Thank goodness for a calendar at the desk.  Dennis is working day/afternoon double shift today.  I have no one except for the dogs to disturb the rest.  Already set the alarm to get me up in time for work.  I know that mother nature will have me up at least once before that time.

Be kind to yourself today and this Valentine weekend.  Get ready to do something sweet for the loves in your lift.  Note that I said to do something sweet, not eat something sweet.

Awww... you sound good, Kathy.

I will be kind to myself this weekend.  We may go out for a meal at some point.  Michael starts liquids on Wednesday, for two weeks.  His surgery is scheduled March 3.

Not too many plans - today I worked from home.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

I think I was borderline asleep writing that this morning.  Have a grand valentines day.  So glad to hear that Michael is getting ready for surgery.  I feel better after some sleep.  Heading back to bed for awhile longer in a bit.  Thanks Mary.  Good to see you here toooooo.

By the time I read your morning posts it's night for me over here and I read your evening posts the next day! I tried a black bean soup today I found a recipe for. Good taste, but I don't think my stomach is ready yet for beans, even when they are pureed.  I hope we will be able to do something this weekend, plus Monday is Lent Monday for us usually celebrated with - guess what? - yep, food seafood to be exact. I'm getting my stitches out Saturday and hope my doc will allow me to start eating some solids, otherwise I'll celebrate with soup and miush at home.

Glad to see you here, no matter what time of the day.  Gradually add new proteins as your surgeon allows.

Stitches out, where has the time gone.  Love to see the recipe, always searching for more posibilities.  Hugs Amalia, Kathy

Hey Kathy.   My plans for the day included a whole lot of nothing and a nice long nap this afternoon.   I didn't realize how bad I needed one.   My recovery is going along, just not fast enough for me and I have had to accept the fact that for the time being I need to take the lortab for my pain every four hours instead of trying to make it stretch because I end up with extra unnecessary pain when  waiting for the six hours inbetween my doseages.
Enjoying the taste of goal.   Down 117 lbs.

Use the pain meds Anna, gotta be able to move around and function.  Take the recovery one day at a time.  Keep on mending from your surgery.  One day soon, this will be just a faint memory of the past.  Hugs Anna, Kathy
