Bariatric Buddy
Hey!
Hi everybody.
I have been a little under the weather the last couple of days and haven't been posting much. I saw my PCP on Tuesday and we are trying a different medication for the vertigo. I'm currently taking 20mg. of Valium everyday; 10 in the am, 10 at night. You probably don't need me to tell you that I have been stoned for the better part of 2 days. I trust my doctor implicitly but really didn't see how Valium could be a treatment for vertigo so I looked it up on the internet and sure enough it is used to treat vertigo. That dosage in the am is just too much and I end up sleeping half the day so starting tomorrow I'm going to take half a pill in the morning and see how that goes.
Beyond that, not much to report. I have been staying within my calorie limits and that's a good thing. I am going to the gym tomorrow and hopefully get a decent workout in without too much dizziness. Maybe I'll get there early for the water aerobics. The last time I did the class it seemed like the buoyancy in the water alleviated the vertigo. I guess I better shave my legs! LOL!
I hope you are all having a good one. Patrece, I don't know if you are reading or not but just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Colleen, do not go too deeply with the shaving. Enjoy the water. Hope that your vertigo resolves.

colleen,. good to hear from you. i went to water classes and never shaved my legs. it was mainly women and a few old men. just too much trouble. plus it hurts when the hair grows out and is *****ly. sure hope u get some releaf with this vertigo. that would be a pain in the keister. like an ongoing drunk. maybe if you got drunk it would go away. lol do u know why u stumble when you are drunk. there are some little hair like things in you inner ear canal. they are surrounded by a liquid and stand up straight. when u get drunk, the liguid inside these hairs takes on the alcohol and it is therefore lighter than the liquid surrounding them. they weave back and forth and can't keep their balance. neat huh? thought it was interesting. have a great day. sorry i didn't post this yesterday. vick
