Mary,
I was so happy to read your post and how you didn't remember the procedure!  Yay!  I hope I'm as blissfully ignorant of the entire procedure!

Ruthie,
I had to have that too, was so very nervous that my BP was high that morning. But it turned out to be no big deal. You're not really put under, you're given a drug that makes you unable to remember the procedure and it makes you a little "loopy" afterward which is why you are not supposed to drive and need to have someone with you. I was told not to go back to work that day but would have been fine by that afternoon to work. The nurse had told me that almost all docs do a biopsy during the procedure and my doc did. I had a mild sore throat feeling from that and that was about it. He said I had gastritis but that almost everyone tested has that and it was no problem. They are looking for anything that would be a hindrance to your surgery or healing from your surgery. You will be fine and it's all over in a few minutes! Good luck!

It's funny that I was afraid of that procedure and then totally NOT nervous before my surgery!!!

You certainly placed a huge grin on my face!  I think I'm giving this way too much power over me.  However, I'm looking forward to the 'loopy' feeling!

I'll post back here when the procedure is over.  Unfortunately, that's next Wednesday.  I wi**** were tomorrow - just to get it over with.

Thanks, Rhonda!
