Frustrated

Good morning to all.

I didn't have a very good day yesterday.  This surgery I had 2 weeks ago was to hopefully relieve some of the symptoms I'm having from the vertigo.  It made them worse.  My head has been spinning non-stop since I cleaned out the cat's litter box yesterday morning (bending over sets it off) and hasn't stopped since.  It was so bad yesterday that I ended up in bed for most of the day.  There is no way I can work out when I feel like this and I really need to get more exercise in, not less.

I also became officially unemployed as of yesterday.  I knew I wouldn't be going back but it still feels a little weird.  I haven't liked my job for quite some time now; the company has changed a great deal in the last 10 years and not for the good, at least from an employees standpoint.  I just keep reminding myself that all is well.  My husband makes a good living and has outstanding job security and my paychecks were basically "play money" for me, and when God closes one door He always opens another.

I've already had my first protein shake of the day which is a good thing.  I barely had 600 calories yesterday and can't have another day like that today.

I hope you all have a good one.  We are at the very beginning of getting our first major storm of the year, although we aren't expecting anywhere near the amount of snow they have been getting on the east coast.  But it is already snowing and I have to go out there for a doctor's appointment.  YIKES!

Colleen- I hope you feel better soon, I had a little bit of a dizzy spell yesterday but knew it was from not getting in enough liquids.  Lately I have only been getting in 24-30 oz, which I know I need to increase- however I also seem to be eating alot of popsicles/jello.
I am sorry about you being unemployed, I am going through the same thing right now, in the beginning it was tough because work was part of my life.  My husband also has a good job to support us, but after being home for so long I just feel like I need to get a job!
UGGH we got 24 inches of snow on Saturday and are due for another 10 inches tomorrow, I want spring to come so bad!!

Good luck to you, hope you are feeling better soon :)

liz, boy you sure do need to get in more liquid. take your weight and divide  that and that is what you should be shooting for with a minimum of 64-80 oz early out of surgery.  it is real dangerous to get dehydrated.  good luck to you on getting this. your popsicles/jello do count towards this.  vick

thanks for your concern vick- I know i hardly drank before surgery but that is something i really need to work on!!  the last thing i want is to get dehydrated, so right now i am writing down my liquids and am aiming for 10-20 oz an hour.  i will have to see how much the popsicles count towards liquid, not much though!

colleen, does your doctor know about the dizziness. i sure would tell him/her. i sure hope that it gets better for you.  that is great that u have already had a protein shake. i have been drinking an ensure about every third day (but i am getting better)  and now weight 132.6.  i saw a picture of myself when i weighed 175 and i looked pretty good, no wrinkles on the face. i might try and get to 160 or so.  who knows, i am scared to death to gain that much weight. hell, to be honest i am scared to gain any weight, afraid i won't stop.  be careful on your way to the doctor and i hope u have a wonderbar visit.  take care. vick
