Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on zoloft.  I was on it before surgery, but haven't needed it.  I am a little depressed and wondered about it.  Alot of people say it is ok after gastric bypass surgery.
Any input appericated.

annie, i take a different antidepressant. my shrink it is difficult to describe the right amount on rnyers because of the absorbtion difference.  i would ask my surgeon and then get a shrink to prescribe who has bypass patients, if you can. good luck to you.  cheer up, sweetie. vick

(((((((Annielou))))))))) lots of warm hugs.  Check with your MD and or surgeon.  I recommend taking something, depression is simply a chemical imbalance in the brain.  There are options, just work with your MD to find the right med and dose.  I care about you and want to see you upbeat and happy.  Just stay away from time released versions of antidepressants.  Better to take the immediate release version, even is you have to take more than 1 dose a day.

Hope you get relief soon, the antidepressants take a while to build up to a good level in the bloodstream after starting them up.  Give this some time and adjust doses with supervision as needed.  Hugs, Kathy

I had a whole letter typed to you and the only thing that posted was my signature!

They put me back on my anti-depressant/mood stabilizer the day I left the hospital.  Depression SUCKS!!  Please don't let it get out of control before you call your doctor.  Good luck!

thanks for the love and concern.    I think i would feel better if i had a good cry.
There has been way too many killed and hurt and died in the last month.  A young girl that i have been helping, found out that she is in drug reheb. now.  Maybe sh will get some help.  She gets no help from her mother, not much from grandmother.   She is pargent and 17 years old.  She has signed to give the baby up for adoption.
I am raising a grandaughter that i adopted.  had her sence she was a few mos. old.
It brings back alot of memeory.
There was a grandmother and 13 mos old granddaughter  got killed friday in a reck.  A semi truck hit them. one more of the parsangers in the car died, but one is still fighting for their live.
There was a triple murder close to our house.  That tore me up.   Just to much bad things happening.
Thanks for the hugs.  I WILL be ok.
Just take time.

Ohh Annielou! I am soo sorry for all you have been through and are going through. Zoloft is not a bad one to take after surgery. You may also ask about an anti-anxiety to help you through this inital time of stress.
My heart and love is with you.
Hang in there. (((HUGS)))
