Thanks everyone! You are all wonderful and I am honored that you all decided to be a part of this group I started!

Ok here's the details on my surgery, for those interested.
I am having my surgery in mexico (Monterrey). I have researched again and again, and have found a wonderful surgeon there. Many there are scarey.. but I have spoken to and seen pics of MANY of his patients. I am using Dr. Sauceda.  As far as how long surgery itsself will take I won't be certain until the day before, when he marks me up for his planned incision lines. BUT will be close to 8 hours i think. We get a local block and put to sleep, but not the kind of anesthesia where you have to be intubated to keep you breathing during surgery.
I am having a lower body lift (lower belly, upper inner thigh, and butt and hips) Then breast augmentation, and then a neck lift, which is what will get rid of my gobbler that I have grown to hate so much. It is a lot of surgery! I will be in mexico 9 days. Was supposed to be 10, but when I booked my flight, I goofed. So I leave here on the 7th of Feb, have surgery the 8th and come home the 17th. I will have ots of drains in at first, and i will have to wear compression garments at least the first 6 weeks after surgery. There is a lot of swelling involved, and the compression garments help with that and also help re-establish blood flow between the skin and tissues. Eveery place that is cut has to estabish new vessels.
I am excited as all get out to have this done.. and I am dreading the pain and swelling and recovery, but am very much looking forward to having all this extra skin removed and having some boobs again..lol.
Why Mexico.. the cost is 1/3 of what it would be here. FYI if any of you consider plastic surgery later, and decide to go to Mexico for the affordability factor, look deeper than cost. Be sure to research and be able to interact with previous patients. Make sure you verify licensure and qualifcations as well.  The people (more than 20 of them) I have spoken with that has used my surgeon, LOVE him and his skill , thier results, and his wonderful treatment and bedside manner.

Off to go out for dinner. ubby thinks I need a break from cooking tonight.. I'll take it!
Hugs to all!

Patrece,

We will miss you while you're gone and be praying for your great results and quick recovery. It certainly does not sound like a fun, easy road, but I'm sure it will be worth it all in the end! Sounds like you've done great research and have complete faith in your surgeon, and that's the most important part. Rest up a little bit at least before hand, okay?

Take care & God bless,
Rhonda
